Chiral Phase Transitions in QED at Finite Temperature: Dyson-Schwinger Equation Analysis in the Real Time Hard-Thermal-Loop Approximation

In order for clarifying what are the essential thermal effects that govern the chiral phase transition at finite temperature, we investigate, in the real-time thermal QED, the consequences of the Hard-Thermal-Loop (HTL) resummed Dyson-Schwinger equation for the physical fermion mass function $\Sigma_R$. Since $\Sigma_R$ is the mass function of an ``unstable'' quasi-particle in thermal field theories, it necessarily has non-trivial imaginary parts together with non-trivial wave function renormalization constants. In the present analysis we correctly respect this fact, and study, in the ladder approximation, the effect of HTL resummed gauge boson propagator. Our results with the use of numerical analysis, show the two facts; i) The chiral phase transition is of second order, since the fermion mass is dynamically generated at a critical value of the temperature $T_c$, or at the critical coupling constant $\alpha_c$, without any discontinuity, and ii) the critical temperature $T_c$ at fixed value of $\alpha$ is significantly lower than the previous results, namely the restoration of chiral symmetry occurs at lower temperature than previously expected. The second fact shows the importance of correctly taking the essential thermal effect into the analysis of chiral phase transition, which are, in the previous analyses, neglected due to the inappropriate approximations. publisher奈良『大公報』は、1902年に天津で創刊され、今も香港で発行され続けている、中国でもっとも歴史のある中国語新聞である。とりわけ1948年に香港で復刊されてから後の時代には、香港の左派勢力（中華人民共和国を支持する立場）を代表する中国語新聞となり、冷戦時代には、香港の住民に彼らの故郷である広東省の状況を伝え、新中国の発展を宣伝する重要なメディアであった。そのため、奈良大学図書館が所蔵する1959年から81年にかけての『大公報』の原紙には、当時、東南アジアの華僑が香港や広州を経由して中国に帰国、定住する様子についての興味深い記事が多く含まれている。そのなかで本稿では、インドネシアにおいて華僑の商業活動を制限する法令が出された1959年に焦点をあてて、インドネシアから中国への華僑の帰国にかかわる記事を、とくに国貨公司、華僑農場、留学（進学）に焦点をあてて紹介する

publisher奈良シシ垣は、漢字で「猪垣」、「鹿垣」、「猪鹿垣」と書く。遺構といえば、これまで貴族や豪族、武士などの遺構1が注目され、農民の遺構であるシシ垣の多くは等閑視されてきた。平成17年施行の文化財保護i法の一部改正により、「文化的景観」が新たに文化財に位置づけられ、シシ垣も「農林水産業に関連する文化的景観」として注目されるようになったことは意義深い。これを機に、今後さらに、全国のシシ垣のデータベース作り、シシ垣の文化財指定、シシ垣の保存と有効活用についての取り組みを推進する必要がある

Drama as ameans for narrating disaster experiences: The case of 'Aoi-mori'theatrical company

publisher奈良本論は、阪神・淡路大震災に関する記憶の保存と伝達をテーマに展開してきた一連研究の一環として、演劇(フィクショシ)が果たす役割について検討したものである。具体的には、神戸市に本拠地をおく「劇団青い森」(細見圭代表)が、震災を題材として書き下ろした舞台作品「見えないネコ、声を出せない僕(以下、〈ネコ〉)」をとりあげ、代表はじめ劇団メンバーに対するインタビュー、上演現場の参与観察、鑑賞者が記した感想文などを基礎データとして、以下の点について論じた。第1に、〈ネコ〉は、震災に想を得た作品ではあるが、観る者がそこに期待するような普遍的メッセージ(普遍的意味)は、最初から想定されていない。第2に、その理由は、〈ネコ〉というフィクションが、震災という体験(出来事)を普遍化すること(すなわち、「記憶/記録」化すること)を避け、その原初的様相(すなわち、「身構え/純粋な風景」の世界)を再生するための構成作業に、伝達する者(創り、演じる者)、伝達される者(観る者)の双方を主体的に関与させることを志向しているためである

“Hoochie-Coochie Diva”: AAVE Discourse Strategies in Waiting to Exhale

publisher奈良Over the past decade, sociolinguists have increasingly turned their attention to language use within specific “communities of practice” (Eckert and McConnell-Ginet, 2003) to more fully understand the interface of language and socio-cultural parameters. Da Fina (2006) and others stress the necessity of acknowledging the fluid nature of identity and the range of ways that our shifting identities are expressed though language within specific speech communities. This focus on actual discursive practice, initiated by scholars of language and gender, has prompted exciting research into the speech patterns of doubly marginalized groups such as African American women, long overlooked in research that tended to categorize all women as being part of one homogeneous (white) group, and all Afro-Americans as being male. Part of a larger study aiming to more clearly describe speech patterns among African American women in a variety of contexts, the current study focuses on code-switching practices among four black female friends in the film Waiting to Exhale, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Terry McMillan. As educated, middle-class professionals the women have access to both Standard English and AAVE, yet vernacular features occur with much great frequency in their private, intimate conversation in the Birthday Party scene. Along with speech acts such as call-and-response and braggadocio, this study considers the distribution of salient grammatical and lexical AAVE markers in the data and seeks to correlate their use with other factors such as emotional pitch.ことばとジェンダー、及び、アフリカ系アメリカ人英語の研究が盛んになるにつれ、社会言語学における研究方法が疑問視されるようになってきている。例えば、Troutman（2001）は、ある１つの言語行動が、民族性、年齢、社会的階級、性的指向を含む様々な社会言語学的要因を無視して、すべての女性に当てはまるかのように記述される点、及び、その結果、アフリカ系アメリカ人女性や他の少数言語共同体に属する女性の真の姿が見えなくなっている、あるいは、誤って伝えられている点を指摘し、この種の研究を「一枚岩にされたウーマニズム」（monolithic womanism）という語を用いて批判している。そのため、社会言語学者は、言語と社会文化的な要因との接点をより深く理解するために、ある特定の「実践コミュニティ」（communities of practice、Eckert and McConnell-Ginet（2003）の用語）内での言語使用により注目して、研究を行うようになってきている。また、da Fina（2006）らは、人は皆、日々の生活の中で実際にインタラクトする他者や状況に応じて、自己のアイデンティティを変えているという事実を重視し、アイデンティティの流動性はもちろんのこと、特定の言語共同体内で言葉を通して表現されるアイデンティティの幅も認めた上で、研究を行っていく必要があることを強調している。本研究は、様々な状況で用いられるアフリカ系アメリカ人女性の発話パターンをより正確に記述することを目的とした一連の研究の一部である。本稿では、映画Waiting to Exhale取り上げ、友人関係にある４人のアフリカ系アメリカ人女性が、互いにどのようにコードスウィッチングしながら会話しているかに焦点を当てて論じていく。４人は皆、教養があり、中流階級に属し、専門職に就いている。標準英語とアフリカ系アメリカ人英語の両方を用いることができるが、「誕生会」のシーンでは、この４人で交わされる会話の場面を中心に、アフリカ系アメリカ人英語の特徴がより多く現れる。言葉の掛け合い（call-and-response）やから自慢（braggadocio）といった発話行為とともに、アフリカ系アメリカ人英語に顕著に見られる文法的・語彙的特徴にも注目し、これらの現れと感情の高まりといった他の要因との相互関係を探る
