    A major feature of improved quality of the European hospitality is to satisfy customer needs, increase competition in the hospitality industry and ensure sustainable development of the industry. Quality exists only to the extent that a product or service meets customer needs and expectations. According to the individual elements that make up quality, standards-based strategy must be based on a complete understanding of a customer. Customer satisfaction gained from the stopover destination is not only dependent on the specific service of hospitality experience, but also from other, more general factors, such as hospitality and security, hygienic conditions, healthy climate, customer management. A great number of different stuff in the hotel and catering businesses affect the way customers perceive their destination. They affect his/her satisfaction and customer willingness to repeatedly go back or recommend this place to other potential guests. Destination success in the meaning of client satisfaction is an action that consists of many interconnected components. They reveal the need for strategic and integrated planning of customersā€™ aim together with the use of different methods to promote integrated quality management (including quality control)

    CIRCUMSTANCES AFFECTING QUALITATIVE EXECUTION OF JUDICIAL POWER IN CRIMINAL LITIGATIONS

    Representing both judicial and executive powers, institutions and officials take part in criminal litigations. In particular, the courts of the three instances, when executing judicial power, decide on personā€™s guilt or guiltlessness in relevant criminal cases. In pre-trial proceedings, judicial power is manifested through ensuring control on human rightsā€™ limitation. In its turn, investigating bodies, which represent judicial power, ensure criminal actionsā€™ investigating and submitting. Finally, punitive institutions (like administrative authorities of penal institutions, State probation service, as well as sworn court bailiffs) take part at the stage of executing the criminal punishment in criminal litigation, thus providing with the support implementing judicial power in criminal proceeding. The objective of this article is to identify and research the circumstances affecting qualitative implementation of judicial power in criminal litigation, a special attention is paid to the circumstances, which have negative affect on criminal litigation. The mentioned objective, in the authorā€™s opinion, is extremely significant in theory and in practice

    Living in a society, people cannot avoid communicating with others. Communication accompanies us in all spheres of life. Consequently, it is important to develop our communicative competence over a lifetime. Teacher is one of the professions where communicative competence determines the efficiency of activity. Communicative competence can be developed in various ways. Mediation was introduced in the justice system at the end of the 20th century as a method of dispute solving with the participation of a mediator. In recent years, mediation knowledge and skills are also gradually taking a rightful place in the field of education. Experience acquired during the mediation studies is valuable for the promotion of the communicative competence: knowledge and skills on conflict solving, dialogue maintenance, active listening etc., which helps in creating of positive psychological environment in any organisation (including schools). Consequently, teachers must be able to solve conflict situations, and, which is equally important, to pass on their experience to their colleagues, students and their parents. The aim of the research: based on the results of theoretical researches, to make a survey aimed at finding out the opinion of teachers concerning the importance of the communicative competence in the life quality improvement. 97 % of respondents believe that there is a link between the communicative competence and the quality of life.

    Pupils Creative Activity in Textile Art at Competition

    The open olympiads of home economics and technologies encourage pupils of grades 5-9 to be creative in applying textile techniques. They also popularize textile art. Purpose of the study is to analyse the results of pupilsā€™ creative work during the 10th open olympiad of home economics and technologies. Method: analysis of textile works. 376 pupilsā€™ works from the 1st round and 85 works of the 2nd round have been analysed and assessed according to the following criteria: compliance with the task, unity of composition, composition of colours, compatibility of materials, originality, quality of the technical accomplishment, functionality. In the olympiad traditional Latvian handicraft techniques and materials as well as elements of other cultures and modern materials have been used. The originality of works submitted for the 1st round is expressed in seek of untraditional forms, techniques and combination of materials. The analysis performed on the 2nd round of works reveals that creativeness appears in the selection of materials, attuning and combining techniques to a greater extent than in the design of composition

    MICROBIOLOGICAL STUDY OF BALTIC SEA AND GULF OF RIGA COAST BATHING WATERS

    This report focuses on the studies o f the bathing water microbiological quality in Latvian coastal zone of the Baltic sea and the Gulf of Riga in May-October, 1998-1999. The microbiological studies has been done in the different coastal zones of Kurzeme and Vidzeme, downstreams o f small rivers and biggest rivers Venta and Gauja, discharges o f wastewater treatment plants and the public bathing waters in Ventspils and Saulkrasti municipality area to assess their quality according to the EU Blue Flag and Latvian National Standard criteria. The microbiological examinations were carried out in accordance with the International Standard Methods. A complex of indicatororganisms - total and thermotholerant coliforms (E.coli), streptococci, and heterotrophicplate count (37Ā°,21Ā°C) has been tested. Water quality in the Kurzeme has been found much better on the beaches of the Baltic sea than the most urbanised beaches of Gulf o f Riga. The quality o f the Ventspils public bathing waters has been evaluated as very good (80-100% o f data). Whereas as a result of anthropogenic load only 61-82% o f data conforms the obligatory requirements of the bathing water quality in Saulkrasti coastal zone. In the study the microbiological pollution, sources and levels of their dynamics and hydrological factors are interpreted. The colour maps o f the bathing waters quality are presented

Article provides information about specifics of urban landscape and factors, that have influence on landscape quality. The paper presents the results of Daugavpils and Rēzekne urban landscape quality complex assessment, that have been realised in 2003- 2005. This results donā€™t establish significant disparities between quality of urban landscape among Daugavpils and Rēzekne. This method of urban landscape assessment makes possible to get believeable and precise information about landscapes quality

    QUALITY OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION, OBSTACLES AND NECESSARY PEDAGOGICAL SOLUTIONS IN WORKING WITH PUPILS WITH AUTISM IN ITALY

    Nowadays are increasingly encountered children diagnosed with autism, but there are still serious problems of inclusion of these children in the comprehensive general education system. This is due to various factors. The author of this study many years is working in the schools of special education in Rome, so in the year 2010 started research on inclusion of pupils with autism into the Italian schools. The idea is to transmit the author's knowledge and experience further in Latvia, where inclusion of such pupils into general education schools is still at an early stage because of a lack of both human resources and financial resources, as well in regard of experience and clear understanding about organization and management of this inclusion process. Here in this article is described the purpose of the study to explore the experience of people linked with the special pedagogy in Italy, attitudes, thoughts on the inclusion process quality of pupils with autism in schools, obstacles and solutions needed by methodological instructions. It will complement the already existing knowledge and give the opportunity to learn from the gained experience.The study is built on research activities and there are used both theoretical and empirical methods, such as scientific literature research, analysis and interview with 4 individuals who are in close contact with the pupils with autism. The qualitative data resulting from interview are processed with the software AQUAD Six. The results obtained from the interview indicate that there are serious difficulties of inclusion of the pupil x with autism in the school because the teachers and support staff are not professionally prepared for it
