The New Zealand psychological society and the Treaty of Waitangi: Proposed implementation plan
In August 1993, the National Standing Committee on Bicultural Issues (NSCBI) was asked to prepare an implementation plan for the above Rule 3 for presentation to the Council of the New Zealand Psychological Society. This paper proposes a number of strategies whereby the Society might move towards attaining the goals of Rule 3. This paper has been prepared as a ‘proposed plan’ as the NSCBI believes that ongoing discussion and consultation is necessary to confirm specific directions proposed. Faculty and Student Perceptions of Technology Integration in Teaching
This journal article discusses a study examining the perceptions of faculty and students on the topic of technology integration in the teaching of courses at a Midwestern College of Education. The purposes of this study are to collect baseline data to identify the current extent of technology integration, to inform the strategic planning process, and for accreditation purposes. The article from "The Journal of Interactive Online Learning," describes faculty comfort levels and proficiency with technology, faculty perceptions and frequency with which they use technology, and student perceptions of technology use and impact on their learning. Current Issues
Cosmic explosions are observed in many astrophysical environments. They range
in scale from hydromagnetic instabilities in the terrestrial magnetotail and
solar ``nanoflares'' to cosmological gamma ray bursts, supernovae and the
protracted intervals of nuclear activity that produce the giant quasars and
radio galaxies. There are many parallels in the analyses of the explosion sites
that are highlighted at this workshop, specifically stellar coronae, accretion
disks, supernovae and compact objects. In this introductory talk, some general
issues are discussed and some more specific questions relating to the
