Mapping consuption of plant production
Recent satellite images are helping measure the impact humans have on global plant production. This will identify impacts on ecosystems, particularly the Earthβs carbon cycle, which affects global warming.

John Logie Baird
Many people contributed to the development of the TV. But, John Logie Baird is credited with displaying one of the first moving images on a TV screen. Logie made use of a Nipkow disc and a Cathode Ray tube.

Particularities of poetical translation
Poetry is art. It is so difficult phenomenon because of its rhythmical organization, rhyme and special images. Translation of poetry is not just reflection of semantical meaning of words but it must express authorβs message, his idea, images and it must be rhythmically and emotionally identical to the original, so according to identifications of translation (functional, structural and semantical) in translation of poetry functional and structural identifications are more important than semantical one.

Investigation of the self-similar structure of the carbon thin films
Self-similar structure of the carbon thin films, obtained by magnetron sputtering is investigated numerically. Statistical parameters are calculated within two dimensional multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis. The numerical model for the surfaces under investigation was build from the SEM images of the carbon thin films. It is shown that the self-similarity in surface roughness preserves over all fragments of the sample, and
through different resolutions of the SEM images.

Synthesis and Characterization of Silver Choromate Nanostructures via a Simple Precipitation Method
In summary, Ag2CrO4 nanostructures were prepared via a simple precipitation method by using
[Ag(HSal)] as a new silver precursor. According to
SEM images, the morphology of silver chromate
nanostructures was 1-D and 3-D by using [Ag(HSal)]
and AgNO3, respectively. Besides, SDS molecules
were applied to decrease the particle size of the assynthesized products.

Digital Media Commons
The Digital Media Commons (DMC) in Jackson Library provides the space and resources for UNCG's students, faculty and staff to create and refine their multimedia projects, including web pages, digital images, digital video, digital audio, PowerPoint and more. Patrons can receive assistance selecting, using, and citing media resources, as well as consult with experts on the rhetorical, aesthetic, and technical aspects of developing and communicating their ideas through media
Technology for Producing Carbon Nanotubes on the Laboratory Setting for Students
This work presents results of studies of an improved method for producing carbon nanotubes using a
low-amperage electric arc and the electromagnetic field of the coil connected in series with the electrodes.
Micro- images of nanotubes produced by scanning and transmission electron microscopy are shown. Here
we presents developed laboratory setting for laboratory works based on research results.

Nikola Tesla - the genius who lit the world
Nikola Tesla (1856 β1943) was a true visionary far ahead of his contemporaries in the field of scientific development. He was one of the greatest and most enigmatic scientists who played a key role in the development of electro magnetism and other scientific discoveries of his time. Accompanied by blinding flashes of light, he would often visualise mechanical and theoretical inventions spontaneously. He had a unique capacity to visualise images in his head. When working on projects, he would rarely write down plans or scale drawings, but rely on the images in his mind.
