Szenische Umsetzung von Händel-Oratorien auf der Opernbühne

Diese Arbeit stellt einen theaterwissenschaftlichen Blick auf die szenischen Interpretationen der nicht-szenischen Gattung Oratorium dar. Der Bogen spannt sich dabei von der Problematik der Gattungsdefinition über die Phasen der szenischen Händel-Oratorien-Inszenierungen bis hin zur Analyse einer exemplarischen Auswahl aktueller Händel-Oratorien-Inszenierungen in Österreich.Altogether my diploma thesis is a first view on this complex topic about scenic interpretations of non-theatrical oratorios. Based on the view on the specifics of the genre of oratorios and the phases of reinforced scenic productions of Handel-Oratorios since the 1920s I focus on the analysis of current productions, their aesthetics and the existing discussions about the positive and negative aspects
