Pelargonium radula (Cav.) L'Herit. - botanički podaci i kemizam
Pelargonium radula (Cav.) L'Herit. (Geraniaceae) is horticultural plant
characterized by its distinct scent. This comes from essential oil being present
in quantities of 0.15-0.31% Main components of the essential oil are
geraniol and citronelol, than linalol, phenylethylalcohol, terpineol, and mentol.
All essential oil components vary in quantities. Traditional medicine uses the plant for curing diabetes, while the essential
oil is used in cosmetics
Eksperimentalni uzgoj i anatomska obilježja lista biljne vrste Pelargonium radula (Cav.) L'Herit.
The plant Pelargonium radula (Cav.) L'Herit. was reproduced by a classical
procedure, that is in vegetative way with use of green grafts. The important
factors during growth were the way of obtaining the reproductional
grafts, supstrate, water ballance, the temperature of air and substrates, light
and phytopatological protection of the grafts.
During reproduction we tested the effect that a growth hormone 6-indol-
3-butter acid (IBA) has on the growth of the plant Pelargonium radula (Cav.)
L'Herit.
Vegetative reproduction of the plant Pelargonium radula (Cav.) L 'Herit.
with grafts, the use of herbal hormone auxin IBA did not provide desired
results. It only increased the growth of the stalk and leaf stems, but not the
quantity of leaves. In this way leaf mass does not increase and neither does
the quantity of essential oil which can be extracted from it by water destilation.
In order to determine the structure of the leaf of Pelargonium radula we
made transversal cross-section of the leaf and leaf stock
