Double-transverse spin asymmetries at NLO
We report on a next-to-leading order QCD calculation of the cross section and
the spin asymmetry for isolated large-p_T prompt photon production in
collisions of transversely polarized protons. Corresponding measurements may be
used at RHIC to determine the transversity parton distributions of the proton.Comment: 3 pages, LaTeX, 1 figure as eps file. Invited talk presented by W.

Transverse-spin physics: Highlights and news
We describe a few of the recent theory highlights in the field of transverse-spin physics
Parton Distributions from Photoproduction in Polarized ep Scattering at HERA
We study photoproduction of jets and single-inclusive hadrons in a polarized
ep collider mode of HERA at sqrt(s)=300 GeV, examining the sensitivity of the
cross sections and their asymmetries to the proton's polarized gluon
distribution and to the completely unknown parton distributions of polarized
photons. We also present for the first time the NLO corrections to the direct
part of polarized single-inclusive hadron photoproduction.Comment: 10 Pages, LaTeX, 7 figures as eps files, Invited talk presented at

Global analysis of helicity PDFs: past - present - future
We discuss the current status of the DSSV global analysis of
helicity-dependent parton densities. A comparison with recent semi-inclusive
DIS data from COMPASS is presented, and constraints on the polarized
strangeness density are examined in some detail.Comment: Talk presented at the XIX Int. Workshop on Deep-Inelastic Scattering
and Related Subjects (DIS 2011); 4 pages; 2 figure
Some Aspects of Polarized ep Scattering at HERA
We study photoproduction reactions in a polarized ep collider mode of HERA at
sqrt(s)=298 GeV. We examine the sensitivity of the cross sections and their
asymmetries to the proton's polarized gluon distribution and to the completely
unknown parton distributions of longitudinally polarized photons.Comment: 11 Pages, LaTeX, 6 figures as eps files, talk presented at the
