    Based on up-to-date Web-based reviews about two advanced information technologies — Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Cloud Computing, the current article summarizes the problems in merging these technologies in the modern enterprise IT infrastructure. A short description for both technologies is provided.     The term “Cloud” is used an abstraction of the Internet infrastructure. The cloud infrastructure provides for a computer infrastructure platform as a service. The cloud computing providers offer online common business applications accessed by Web browsers, and the software and data are stored in servers.One of the most advertised advantages of the cloud-computing paradigm is the reduction of hardware deployment and installation times. Cloud storage and compute instances must be viewed as another type of resource.The promise of cloud computing is that it can increase capacity “on-demand” easily and not necessarily automatically. Since every compute instance is a service, many cloud providers put the control of those instances in the hands of their customers. The decision when to launch new instances and their number can be crucially important regarding the rising traffic and computing capabilities and in those circumstances all could end with inefficiencies in cloud capacity.The current article attempts to propose guidelines for efficient planning of cloud capacity.The term «Cloud» is used an abstraction of the Internet infrastructure.     COVID-19 disease causes acute respiratory infection – pneumonia. It is associated with an increased risk of complications such as hypercoagulopathy, which leads to thromboses. We present a case of a young man presenting with typical SARS-CoV-2 symptoms (fever, cough, fatigue, and dyspnea), who experienced ischemic priapism, most probably due to thrombosis of penile vessels caused by the novel coronavirus infection. After prompt treatment of the priapism with punctures and irrigation, lasting penile detumescence was achieved. However, despite younger age, lack of serious comorbidities and administration of anticoagulants, priapism was followed by a fatal pulmonary embolism some days later

    Electrode Materials for Supercapacitors in Hybrid Electric Vehicles: Challenges and Current Progress

    For hybrid electric vehicles, supercapacitors are an attractive technology which, when used in conjunction with the batteries as a hybrid system, could solve the shortcomings of the battery. Supercapacitors would allow hybrid electric vehicles to achieve high efficiency and better power control. Supercapacitors possess very good power density. Besides this, their charge-discharge cycling stability and comparatively reasonable cost make them an incredible energy-storing device. The manufacturing strategy and the major parts like electrodes, current collector, binder, separator, and electrolyte define the performance of a supercapacitor. Among these, electrode materials play an important role when it comes to the performance of supercapacitors. They resolve the charge storage in the device and thus decide the capacitance. Porous carbon, conductive polymers, metal hydroxide, and metal oxides, which are some of the usual materials used for the electrodes in the supercapacitors, have some limits when it comes to energy density and stability. Major research in supercapacitors has focused on the design of stable, highly efficient electrodes with low cost. In this review, the most recent electrode materials used in supercapacitors are discussed. The challenges, current progress, and future development of supercapacitors are discussed as well. This study clearly shows that the performance of supercapacitors has increased considerably over the years and this has made them a promising alternative in the energy sector
