This study aims to determine the participation of farmers in irrigation management and the level of farmer participation in increasing rice production. This type of research is a case study of predetermined subjects and objects. The method used in this study is a survey method, while the method for collecting data is a questionnaire. The population in this study were all farmers who were members of the P3A group. The sampling technique was carried out with Simple Random Sampling (simple random) with a sample of 46 farmers. Analysis of the data used to determine the relationship of participation of farmers using water in increasing rice production is the analysis of Chi-Square. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Participation of farmers in irrigation management activities is included in the high category or participating; and 2) there is a relationship between participation and production of paddy rice in Lalousu village, wonggeduku sub-district, konawe district

This study aims to determine the factors of production that significantly affect the production of rice farming, consisting of two factors, namely land and experience of farmers in farming in the real level of 95%. While factors of production such as seed, fertilizer, labor, and education have no effect on the real significance of the set. Village studio Studio District Palangga Sub-district of Kabupaten Konawe South. The population was 55 as respondents. Determining the sample done by simple random sampling. This research was conducted on March-April 2017, it aims to: 1) knowing the factors that affect rice production. 2) knowing the efficiency level of using production factors in rice farming. The method of this research is using the survey method, and the method of sample is using simple random sampling methods by as much as 36 people. The analysis tool that used is a function of the Cobb Douglas production and efficiency analysis of rice farming. The results showed that: 1) commodious area variables, seed, and urea fertilizer is real influential toward rice farming production, whereas the factors of production on using KCl fertilizer, SP 36 fertilizer, pesticides, and labor real has no effect toward rice production. 2) the use of production factors on rice farming (seed, and urea fertilizer) are on a condition that is not efficient. The use of inefficient production factors can cause low productivity so that rice farming production levels become low

Runoff of nutrients (N, P, Si) from the mainland would disrupt the balance of nutrients in the waters resulted in changing microalgae communities composition, especially between diatom and dino-flagellate (Dia/Dino). This study was aimed to analyze the relationship of nutrient ratios (N/P, N/Si, Si/P) in the waters, to the density ratio of the Dia/Dino in the coastal and marine waters of Spermonde archipelago, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, which experience nutrient enrichment. Nutrients and phyto-plankton samples were collected from the coastal waters of Tallo, Maros, Pangkep, and seawaters of Spermonde in three seasons (transition, wet, and dry). The results showed the average value (± stan-dard deviation) of Dia/Dino ratio in the coastal and sea waters is 1422±1742 and 1174±1290 in the transition season; 238±205 and 1039±2264 in the dry season; and 153±270 and 72±71in the rainy season. Meanwhile, in the marine waters the ratio of Dia/Dino ranges between 1 and 9839. The ratio of Dia/Dino was not different significantly (p>0,05) by spatial and temporal, but Dia/Dino ratio was different significantly (p<0,05) on the ratio of nutrients in coastal waters, where the value of N/Si ratio tends to ignite monospesies enrichment diatom (Chaetoceros) with a variant of 70,4%
