RAL quality and test regulations, in the product and service areas, can meet the relevant requirements for environmental protection and also help to promote rational usage and recycling of row materials. Therefore, RAL quality and test regulations, as well as other technical regulations, are an important means of implementing goals concerning environmental protection. Consequently, there was a big interest for all concerned to undertake a detailed inventory of the present situation. Moreover, it was necessary to describe the ecological requirements already met and the contribution to the environmental protection, as well as creating new possibilities for improvement in cooperation with the quality setting members. Hence the public sector, especially consumer and ecological consultants, should be informed about this subject. They should be interested in the integration of ecological seals of approval in the consultancy. The aim of the study was not however to call the existing regulation into question or to significantly alter the quality assessment, but to prsent proposals according to the present guidelines, so that the standard of each quality regulation is adapted to the existing ecological requirements. The report offers with a comprehensive survey of possibilities (ways and means, technology, organisation) for the reduction of loads emitted by waste water in the textile finishing industry. The possibilities are classified into measures to be taken during the production process (process optimization, substitution of products, used for textile finish, recycling of single waste water streams), end-of-the-pipe measures. The report describes reduction methods in use and in development for all the steps in the textile finishing industry. (orig.)Der Bericht bietet eine moeglichst vollstaendige Zusammenstellung der Moeglichkeiten (Verfahren, Techniken, Organisation) zur Reduzierung der mit dem Abwasser emittierten Stofffrachten (Abwasser-Emissionsmassenstroeme) in der Textilveredlung. Dabei wird grundsaetzlich zwischen innerbetrieblichen, sogenannten produktionsintegrierten Massnahmen (Verfahrensumstellung/-aenderung), Produktsubstitution, Recyclingmassnahmen am Teilstrom) zur Vermeidung von Emissions-Massenstroemen und sogenannten End-of-the-pipe-Massnahmen, die ein als gegeben hingenommenes Abwasser behandeln, unterschieden. Es sind sowohl Verfahren aufgefuehrt, die sich im Industrieeinsatz befinden, als auch solche, die noch im Entwicklungsstadium sind. Erfasst wurden alle Stufen der Textilveredlung.
