    Lost Property Detection by Template Matching using Genetic Algorithm and Random Search

    In this paper, we propose an object search method which is adapted to transformation of an object to be searched to detect lost property. Object search is divided into two types; global and local searches. We used a template matching using Genetic Algorithm (GA) in the global search. Moreover we use a random search in the local search. According to experimental results, this system can detect rough position of the object to be searched. The search accuracy obtained using the present method is 83.6%, and that of a comparative experiment using only GA is 42.1%. We have verified that our proposed method is effective for lost property detection. In the future, we need to increase search accuracy to search objects more stably. In particular, we need to improve local search

    The Effect of Feeling of Similarity with Music on Relaxation : Relation between Mood before Listening and Music Type

    It is empirically said that music which has the similar characteristics to the negative mood in listening is effective in relaxation (ISO PRINCIPLE, Altshuler, 1954). However, previous studies suggested that the types of music influence relaxation; negative toned music elicited negative emotion. This finding couldnot explain the effect on relaxation by Iso Principle. The purpose of this study was to examine (1) what type of music a subject in what kind of mood feels the similarity between music and mood, (2) whether music which a subject feels the similarity induces relaxation. Thirty-two subjects rated emotional state before and after listening and music impressions after music under the four experimental conditions; Dark-Powerful music (D-P), Dark-Calm music (D-C), Bright-Powerful music (B-P) and Bright-Calm (B-C) music conditions. The results were as follows. (1) Bright and Calm music enhanced positive emotion while Dark music enhanced negative emotion. (2) Subjects who had negative emotion before listening felt the similarity between Dark music and their moods. (3) Subjects who felt high similarity with D-C music sympathized with the music and vented after listening. (4) Subjects who felt high similarity with D-P music were hard to decrease positive moods. These results indicated that the music which has the similar characteristics to the negative mood might be useful to make person who has negtive mood relax

    Nutritional Intakes of Obese Elementary School Children Residing in the Shimokita Peninsula of Aomori, Japan

    This research examined the lifestyles and eating habits of 42 elementary school fifth graders(20 boys and 22 girls) over a 3-day period; these children resided in theShimokita Peninsula, Aomori prefecture, which has the highest childhood obesityrate in Japan. The children’s nutritionalintakes were recorded via questionnaires and self-documented meal recorddiaries overa 3-day period (1 weekday and the weekend). The meal record diaries recorded which meals the children ate (including snacks) during the 3-day period. A regular feature of these children’s lifestyle was theviewing of at least 3 hours of television per day. Compared with the National Health and Nutrition Survey conductedby the Japanese government, the nutritionaland energy intake levels were the same but when we examined food group intakes,the vegetable intake was lower on weekends in comparison to the weekdays whenthe children were provided school lunches. In addition, salt intake exceededthe recommended standard in more than 80% of the study sample. We suggest thatthe pattern of reduced vegetable intake juxtaposed with high salt intake stemsfrom childhood and is repeated and passed down through generations; therefore, theguardians of these children require nutritional guidance and education

     平成26年度に文部科学省が実施した「全国体力・運動能力,運動習慣等調査」結果から、幼児期にはいろいろな内容の体を動かす遊びが重要であり、小学校以降の体力総合評価に大きな影響を及ぼすことが明らかになった。 園生活においては、幼児が自己を十分に発揮して遊びや生活を楽しむ中で、体を動かす気持ちよさを感じたり、生活に必要な習慣や態度などを身に付けたりしていくことが大切である。体を動かすことを楽しむ幼児を育てるための環境や保育者の援助について、人的環境・物的環境・空間的環境の視点から事例をもとに検討した

    Dietary Restriction Ameliorates Diabetic Nephropathy through Anti-Inflammatory Effects and Regulation of the Autophagy via Restoration of Sirt1 in Diabetic Wistar Fatty (fa/fa) Rats: A Model of Type 2 Diabetes

    Aim. Despite the beneficial effects of dietary restriction (DR) on lifespan, age-related diseases, including diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, its effects on type 2 diabetic nephropathy remain unknown. This study examined the renoprotective effects of DR in Wistar fatty (fa/fa) rats (WFRs). Methods. WFRs were treated with DR (40% restriction) for 24 weeks. Urinary albumin excretion, creatinine clearance, renal histologies, acetylated-NF-κB (p65), Sirt1 protein expression, and p62/Sqstm 1 accumulation in the renal cortex, as well as electron microscopic observation of mitochondrial morphology and autophagosomes in proximal tubular cells were estimated. Results. DR ameliorated renal abnormalities including inflammation in WFRs. The decrease in Sirt1 levels, increase in acetylated-NF-κB, and impaired autophagy in WFRs were improved by DR. Conclusions. DR exerted anti-inflammatory effects and improved the dysregulation of autophagy through the restoration of Sirt1 in the kidneys of WFRs, which resulted in the amelioration of renal injuries in type 2 diabetes

    保育士養成課程を有する大学における子育て支援活動 ~「ぶんぶんひろば」の教育的意義について~

    本学では、学生の保育感覚や乳幼児の発達理解を促進し、保育実践力を豊かに醸成するとともに、地域の子育て世代のニーズ等を把握し、地域の行政機関にフィードバックすることで、地域の子育て支援に貢献することを目的に「ぶんぶんひろば」に取り組んでいる。本稿では、学生や、保護者、教員によるアンケート等から、「ぶんぶんひろば」の教育的効果や、保育士養成課程を有する大学における子育てひろばの意義について検証した。今後も学生の保育力・実践力の向上を目指し、地域に根ざした子育て支援の場を充実させたい

    1990年代の終わりから小1プロブレム問題が顕在化する中で,幼小の連携・接続が一層求められるようになった。 本研究では,幼小連携・幼小接続にかかる国の施策を調査し,幼児教育と小学校教育の円滑な連携・接続が進まない理由の一つとして,幼稚園教育要領と小学校学習指導要領に示された幼小連携・幼小接続について,温度差があったのではないかという知見を得た。 2017(平成29)年に改訂された小学校学習指導要領には,「幼児期の終わりまでに育ってほしい姿を踏まえた指導を工夫すること」が求められ,幼小の円滑な接続を図るためには,小学校低学年の授業改善が必要であると考える。本稿では,小学校1年生の算数科の授業を3点(①幼児期の遊びのスタイルを授業に取り入れる ②自分との関わりを通して,体験的に学ばせる ③遊びや生活の中で必要感をもって数量や図形への興味や関心を深めることができる問題場面を提示する)から検討した
