The possibility to constitute an interoperability of EFC in the central and eastern Europe
The article describes critical situation concerning implementation of the EFC satellite oriented system in CEEC
countries. Situation in the field of practical implementation of GNSS/CN is very critical at present due to lack of valid
European standards. There is only one realistic possibility to build up interoperable system - to use “de facto” standards. The
idea has been elaborated by expert group for the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic
Road tunnels safety according to European legislation
The article deals with safety of European road tunnels in accordance with actual European legislation. Standards and recommendations of European Commission, PIARC and other professional bodies of the European Union define minimal technological requirements for equipment and operation of the tunnels in scope of Trans-European Road Network
Methods of risk analysis of telematic objels
The paper focuses on basic description of the tunnel as a telematic object and its architecture. Conventional
methods of risk analysis of telematic objects are introduced in relation to their safety. New approaches of risk quantification
are shown in connection to existing legislation and directives of European Commission
Prediction of the Stochastic System Properties Using Genetic Identification
The article deals with the equation solutions for conditional probabilities determination. The number of variables in equation for correlation estimation could be reduced under the specific conditions. Stochastic system could be approximated by the mean values of the conditional probabilities as it declared by presented example.<br /
Increase Safety of Traffic Control on the Minor Railway-Tracks
The paper aims at detecting the existing safety risks on the minor railway-tracks being operated in accordance with the provision CD-D3 of the Czech Railways, and at providing the solutions and technologies suitable for the mentioned minor railway-tracks. These tracks are currently equipped with out of date safety related systems monitoring the railway, whose operation depends purely on human factor. The latest railway accidents were reported just on these low traffic frequency tracks
Control and information systems
The article deals with main tends of scientific research activities of Department of Control and Information Systems at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of University of Zilina and its perspectives in this area
Present and Future Challenges of ICT for Intelligent Transportation Technologies and Services
The paper deals with intelligent transport systems (ITSs) and services seen from the viewpoint of present and future challenges. The authors contemplate the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and consider their impact on future development and trends. Present considerations are then confronted with EU directing as defined in the ITS Action Plan covering the period 2009 - 2014
