Synthesis and sorption properties of filled fibrous sorbents with immobilized hetarylformazan groups

    Get PDF
New sorbents were prepared by immobilization of structurally different sulfur-containing hetaryl-formazans on nonwoven polyacrylonitrile fiber tilled with AV-17 anion exchanger. Sorption of some heavy metals on these materials was studied as influenced by various factors. Sorbents for selective recovery of copper(II) in the presence of nickel(II), zinc(II), and cadmium(II) cations were found

Synthesis and catalytic properties of copper(II) 1-aryl-5-benzothiazolylformazanates

New copper(II) benzothiazolylformazane complexes were synthesized and immobilized on AN-18 anion exchanger. The influence of the composition of the coordination core of copper(II) benzthiazolylformazanates and temperature on their catalytic properties in decomposition of H2O2 and oxidation of Na2S in aqueous solution was studied

    Formazans and their metal complexes

    No full text
The current data on the structure of formazans in crystals and in solutions are considered and some problems of tautomeric and conformational equilibria are discussed. Some novel classes of formazans synthesised over the past decade are presented. The results of structural studies of formazan complexes with various types of metal coordination are generalised. Examples of synthesis of formazan-containing polymers are given. Special emphasis is placed on analytical and practical applications of formazan derivatives. The bibliography includes 155 references. © 2006 Russian Academy of Sciences and Turpion Ltd

    The binuclear Ni(II) 1-(2-carboxyphenyl)-3-isopropyl-5-(benzimidazole-2-yl) formazanate (Ni 2 L 2 • 2H 2 O) (I) was synthesized and its crystal and molecule structures were determined by X-ray diffraction. Crystals I are triclinic: space group P ̄ 1, a = 7.4811(11), b = 10.8821(15), c = 11.4168(13) Å, α = 105.690(11) Å, β = 90.537(11) Å, γ = 93.166(11) Å, V = 893.2(2) Å 3 , ρ(calcd.) = 1.581 g/cm 3 , Z = 1. © 2008 MAIK Nauka.This work was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (projects nos. 06-03-08040ofi, 07-03-12050ofi)

Palladium(II) benzazolylformazanates: Synthesis, structure and optical properties

    No full text
The Pd(II) complexes of 1-aryl-5-benzazolyl- and 1,5- dibenzimidazolylformazans are synthesized and characterized by UV and IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and magnetochemical studies. The complexes exhibit the intense absorption in the near-IR spectral region (820-1020 nm). The interaction of the complexes with amines leads to the transformation into binuclear palladium formazanates, which absorb at 620-680 nm and whose structures were confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. © 2009 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.This work was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, project nos. 07-03-12050ofi and 08-03-13512ofi-ts

Laser photolysis study of 1-aryl-3-methyl-5-(benzothiazole-2-yl) formazan phototransformation

    No full text
Photochromism of 1-aryl-3-methyl-5-(benzothiazole-2-yl)formazans in toluene has been investigated by the laser flash photolysis method. It was established that the photochromic transformations involve the triplet state of the initial chelate form of formazans. The intermediate short-lived products of phototransformation were detected that could be related to one of the conformers or to the tautomers of the formazan molecule. © Pleiades Publishing, Inc., 2011
