This work focuses on analyzing the commitment of universities to pursue the objectives of the United Nations 2030 Agenda (SDGs). Significant strategies along these lines, carried out both at international and national level, consider the implementation of common actions/activities which are necessary in order to achieve the goals established by the UN. What has aroused particular attention to university activities within the great, changing scenario is the adhesion of the Conference of Rectors (CRUI) to the UN Agenda 2030 with its objectives, i.e. the noted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They concern different fields; here the attention is focused especially on the Goal n.4, i.e. quality education, correlating it to other goals. Education for sustainable development and the governance activities demonstrate the excellent work performed at some Italian universities, through project activities carried out to pursue specific objectives. The positive results show that the commitment to scientific research, teaching and to third mission activities help to raise awareness and to identify the activity strategies which are needed to guide policies, apply the values of social justice and to reduce inequalities: no one left behind

Recent years saw an increase, both in Italy and in the rest of Europe, in activities put in practise in order to use sports as means for facilitating the social inclusion of migrants and/or asylum seekers. The importance of social inclusion has been frequently analysed from reference models related to several welfare systems dimensions used to convey sports values. The aim of this paper was to analyse some of the accomplished sports projects, not only as playful and recreational activities but also as useful examples for inclusion and for expanding and creating welfare strategies. Therefore, the main question was whether sports may act as a drive for facilitating inclusion and foster well-being. Sociological imagination will acquire then a strategic role in interpreting community contexts
