The concept of paradeduction is presented in order to justify that we can overlook contradictory information taking into account only what is consistent. Besides that, paradeduction is used to show that there is a way to transform any logic, introduced as an axiomatic formal system, into a paraconsistent one

de Broglie-Proca and Bopp-Podolsky massive photon gases in cosmology

We investigate the influence of massive photons on the evolution of the expanding universe. Two particular models for generalized electrodynamics are considered, namely de Broglie-Proca and Bopp-Podolsky electrodynamics. We obtain the equation of state (EOS) $P=P(\varepsilon)$ for each case using dispersion relations derived from both theories. The EOS are inputted into the Friedmann equations of a homogeneous and isotropic space-time to determine the cosmic scale factor $a(t)$. It is shown that the photon non-null mass does not significantly alter the result $a\propto t^{1/2}$ valid for a massless photon gas; this is true either in de Broglie-Proca's case (where the photon mass $m$ is extremely small) or in Bopp-Podolsky theory (for which $m$ is extremely large).Comment: 8 pages, 2 figures; v2 matches the published versio

Dark Sector from Interacting Canonical and Non-Canonical Scalar Fields

In this work it is investigated general models with interactions between two canonical scalar fields and between one non-canonical (tachyon-type) and one canonical scalar field. The potentials and couplings to the gravity are selected through the Noether symmetry approach. These general models are employed to describe interactions between dark energy and dark matter, with the fields being constrained by the astronomical data. Caracterização morfológica de acessos de bacurizeiro por meio de descritores florais.

O bacurizeiro é uma espécie frutífera originária da Amazônia, onde são encontradas amplas variações em forma e tamanho de frutos, rendimento e qualidade de polpa, dentre outras características de interesse (CAVALCANTE, 1996). Apesar de apresentar elevado potencial de uso na alimentação humana, ainda há carência de conhecimentos científicos sobre a espécie, com destaque para biologia floral, mecanismos reprodutivos, manejo cultural e estabelecimento de descritores mínimos. Accuracy of a teleported trapped field state inside a single bimodal cavity

We propose a simplified scheme to teleport a superposition of coherent states from one mode to another of the same bimodal lossy cavity. Based on current experimental capabilities, we present a calculation of the fidelity that can be achieved, demonstrating accurate teleportation if the mean photon number of each mode is at most 1.5. Our scheme applies as well for teleportation of coherent states from one mode of a cavity to another mode of a second cavity, both cavities embedded in a common reservoir.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, in appreciation for publication in Physical Review
