Hipokalemik Paralizi ile Klinik Belirti Veren Adrenokortikal Karsinom Olgusu

    Get PDF

A number of 2-arylidene-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-ones were synthesized and evaluated for CNS activity. Some of the tested compounds exhibited marked CNS depressant activity in mice

Study of Radiotherapy Properties and Antimicrobial Activity of Glyconanoparticles (GNPs) Generated from Imidazolium Salts

Carbohydrate-based imidazolium salts (IMSs) are structural patterns for the synthesis of pharmaceutically and biologically active substances. For this purpose, the chiral furanoside-based imidazolium salt conjugated with a cysteamine (Cyt) linker attached gold and silver nanoparticles were prepared in this study. The biological applications of the HeLa and A549 cell lines using MTT cell proliferation method were exhibited to determine the biological evaluation of NPs conjugated with sugar based imidazolium salt. The satisfactory results obtained demonstrated that the synthesized glyconanoconjugates were radiotherapeutic agents. Moreover, this modification type within a galactose derived imidazolium salt is the first work in bioapplications, especially in radiotherapy. The antimicrobial activity of IMSs and their nanoconjugates against test pathogens was also evaluated using the disc diffusion technique. We would like to Ege University for financial support of this work (FGA-2019-20195). The authors would like to thank Dicle University Science and Technology Research and Application Center (DUBTAM) for TEM, SEM and SEM/EDX characterizations. We also thank the Ege University Central Research Testing and Analysis Laboratory Research and Application Center (EGE-MATAL) for cell culture test analysis.Ege University [FGA-2019-20195

Relationship between lipid profile and lipid hydroperoxide levels in early stage type I diabetic patients

    No full text
We studied 51 early stage type I diabetic patients and 48 healthy normolipidemic age-matched controls to examine the influence of lipid profile on lipid hydroperoxide levels. The type I diabetic patient group consisted of 12 prepubertal children, 18 adolescents, and 21 young adults who were free from any clinical evidence of retinopathy, nephropathy, or neuropathy. We determined serum triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL (high-density lipoprotein)-cholesterol, LDL (low-density lipoprotein)-cholesterol, VLDL (very low-density lipoprotein)-cholesterol, apolipoprotein A-1, apolipoprotein B, lipoprotein (a) levels as markers of lipid profile, and lipid hydroperoxide levels (LHP) as markers of lipid peroxidation, and tried to show the relation, if any, between lipid profile and lipid peroxidation. Serum lipid profiles of three groups of diabetic patients were not different compared to their controls. However, LHP levels were increased significantly in adolescent and young adult type I diabetic patients compared to their controls. The significant increase in LHP levels in these two groups of patients was independent from their lipid profile parameters except triglycerides. The lack of difference in LHP levels in prepubertal diabetic patients and their controls might be explained by intense hormonal and metabolic changes during puberty
