The influence of brush cutter's vibrations on human body

    No full text
Abstract. In recent years there have been many cases of HAVS being reported for people who work in agriculture, horticulture, landscape gardening and forestry. The work described in this paper assesses the transmitted vibration to the human body from a hand guided power tool, means a brushcutter. As it is known the brushcutters induce a high level of vibrations on human operators. Depending by brushcutter's type, exposure time and human subjectivity, we can discuss about the vibration influence on human body. Long exposure to hand-arm vibration, whole body vibration and mechanical overloading is considered a potential cause of professional diseases

ECONOMIC CRISIS AND FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENTS IN ROMANIA

    No full text
Abstract: Foreign direct investments represent an essential factor of economic development and growth at all levels: national, regional and local (county). The authors analyse the evolution of foreign direct investments in Romania over the last decade, taking into consideration the influence of the economic and financial crisis, different territorial levels, types of foreign investments, the economic activities and also the main countries of origin. The aim of the paper is to explain some of the reasons for the illustrated evolution of FDI and to reveal some policy implications for the future period

Considérations sur l’évolution de l’affiche communiste vers la standardisation

Abstract: Using poster to spread Marxist-Leninist ideology, but also to popularize “grand achievements of the popular regime” represented only one aspect of the phenomenon of propaganda in our country. For Romania's postwar history the poster is a genuine document, with unique specific. Its valence, powerful manipulator, is linked to Romanian Communist (Workers) Party activities, since 1944-1945. To increase the effectiveness of propaganda poster, communist regime imposed its control and standardization through the Artists Union of Romania, contributing to the handling of Romanian consciousness in shaping the "New Man"

    INSTITUTIONALISM AND CRISIS

Abstract: Contemporary scientific reunions and debates are focusing, for several years, on economic crisis. As a result, there are an unnumbered ways to analyse and to interpret the crisis. Our intention, in the present paper, is to analyze the economic crisis through another perspective: through the role played by institutions. Our scientific approach aims to examine whether public institutions play a role in the onset, progression or solve an economic crisis. For this we choose as representative public institution – the U.S. Federal Reserve System. To meet our purpose we focus only on Federal Reserve actions and their consequences, of any, by taking a short inside look to the Great Depression and 2007-2008 crisis. We tried to figure out which were FED's actions, were they suitable and effective? Could they be better, more appropriate to the specific situations? Those are questions that we try to answer in the present paper

    Simultaneous approximation by (0,...,R-2,R) interpolators

The present note describes a general technique to derive quantitative assertions concerning the degree of simultaneous approximation by lacunary interpolation operators of the (O,... R-2, R) type. The effectiveness of our technique is demonstrated by improving various classical theorems, and by showing how other significant statements can be obtained in quite a natural fashion, too. INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN TASK AND HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Abstract: This article aims to identify the importance of the use of information and communication systems in the enterprise, their role in human resource management, as well as the identification of the impact of information and communication systems on performance, whether these systems are crucial for successful management of an enterprise, the relevance of their use in the efficient human resource management. The problems of this topic are the uncertain potential of information and communication system usage, as well as the identification of prospects for the use of these systems. In the context of this paper there have been identified the main factors of influence of information and communication systems on performance, and have been specified the key forms of these systems application

A numerical approach to porous medium equations

In this work we propose a new numerical scheme to solve some kind of degenerate parabolic equations. The underlying idea of the scheme is based on the maximum principle. More precisely, we locally perturb the (initial and boundary) data instead of the nonlinear diffusion coefficients, so that the resulting problem is not degenerate. The efficiency of this method is shown analytically as well as numerically. The numerical experiments show that this new approach is comparable with the existing ones.
