The replanting operation of an oil palm as a whole need to meet the timeline provided. As holing is one of the processes in replanting operation, it is also important to complete it on time. Holing can be done either manually or mechanically. This study was conducted to evaluate the energy uses in two types of holing methods. Other than energy, the working performance over time and cost that involved in both methods was also evaluated. The data is taken at FGV Tembangau 7. The parameter taken was the food consumption of the labor, the amount of fuel used by the tractor, the area covered within a time, and the cost that involved the two methods of holing. The data then been analyzed using a formula to determine the energy usage. The result showed that the energy consumption by the labor which taken from the energy content of each food they eat is 6.388 MJ and the amount of fuel used by the tractor is 244.20 MJ. The labor can covered 0.72 hectare per day and the auger can covered 3.26 hectare in the same working hour. The cost of paying labor wages is RM 70 per day where the cost of using mechanically is RM 495 per day. It can be concluded that mechanical method is better than manual method. Many companies can use this case study to gain information and to make decision in choosing which method they could use in their plantation

In Malaysia, vehicles theft cases keep increasing from days to days and the recovery rate of the stolen vehicle is very minimal. Some of service provider companies in Malaysia lack of fleet management which could cause decrease in efficiency of the services or reduce their profit as the manager or owner of the company could not monitor any transportation activities related to the companies. Remote Vehicle Tracking System could overcome or become a solution to those problems. This project is about the integration of Remote Vehicle Tracking System location using the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) Modem with Google Map. This project will deal with SMS (Short Message Service) enabled vehicle tracking system. The GSM modem will receive the coordinates through SMS send by transmitter (in this project, the transmitter which will act as location information sender will be simulated by using a mobile phone) and updates the location information into a database. The information then will be parsed to a preferred website (online/local-host) and the position of the vehicle will be displayed through a Google Maps application. The core of this project is the integration of the GSM modem which will act as a location information receiver and the Google Maps itself. A website will be developed to aid the user to track and view the vehicles location easily. The website will display the vehicle location through the Google Map and can be access anywhere as long as Internet connection is available. To improvise and add more functionality to the project, more functions regarding this project was added. There are three working functions for this project which are Display the Latest Tracked Vehicle Location, Display the Route History of Tracked Vehicle, lastly, Route and Destination Planner Base on Current Location

Heavy duty and safety requirements during the plant operation require the static and rotating equipment specified for any operations fully meet the specification. As such the design engineer has to carefully select the criteria to evaluate any equipment. The current approach of evaluation is time consuming. In this project, research was done to address this issue. At technical and commercial evaluation was developed for selection of rotating equipment for offshore applications. The project focused on two methods which were Pairwise Comparison and Factor Rating method by examining related important criteria between available equipment. The Pairwise Comparison compared all the important criteria of the equipment to get the weight of each criterion for factor rating method. By using factor rating method, criteria were compared the ahernative equipment in term of score thus the highest weighted score (weight rating x score) was chosen as the best. Commercial evaluation model also been developed to enhance the selection of the best alternatives in term of economical wise. Present Worth analysis was used to develop the model. Microsoft Excel was used to illustrate a rough model integrating all the mathematical equation, criteria and weight rating method to fmd solution of the best ahernatives

Hydrocarbon exploration or known as oil and gas exploration is the search by petroleum geologist for hydrocarbon deposits beneath the Earth’s surface such as oil and gas. Hydrocarbon exploration is needed before drilling to locate the location of the hydrocarbon. At sea level, there are various methods used for hydrocarbon exploration which are Seismic and Control Source Electromagnetic (CSEM) methods. Seismic method is using sound waves to explore geological structures underneath seabed in search for hydrocarbon. There are two types of seismic method which are refraction and reflection method. Both techniques are used in pair to visualize the earth structure. However, there is a problem using the seismic method which is the method cannot differentiate between the water, hydrocarbon and sediments. In order to overcome the problem, Seabed Logging is introduced. Seabed Logging (SBL) is a technique that utilizes the use of Electromagnetic (EM) waves. The EM waves from the antenna will propagate signals to reservoir depths where the difference in resistivity levels of different regions under the seafloor will help to determine possible oil wells for future exploration. Even though SBL is more preferable than Seismic because of its ability to differentiate between the water, hydrocarbon and sediments, the cost factor is the main reason why SBL is used as a compliment to Seismic Method. Exploring for hydrocarbon is also risky as anything can happen during the exploration. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to is to construct a 3D seabed model that later will be used to develop a forward mathematical method that can be used to determine the depths of the reservoir using different kind of frequencies
