Euler reflexion formulas for motivic multiple zeta functions
We introduce a new notion of \boxast-product of two integrable series with
coefficients in distinct Grothendieck rings of algebraic varieties, preserving
the integrability and commuting with the limit of rational series. In the same
context, we define a motivic multiple zeta function with respect to an ordered
family of regular functions, which is integrable and connects closely to
Denef-Loeser's motivic zeta functions. We also show that the \boxast-product
is associative in the class of motivic multiple zeta functions.
Furthermore, a version of the Euler reflexion formula for motivic zeta
functions is nicely formulated to deal with the \boxast-product and motivic
multiple zeta functions, and it is proved using the theory of arc spaces. As an
application, taking the limit for the motivic Euler reflexion formula we
recover the well known motivic Thom-Sebastiani theorem.Comment: To appear in Journal of Algebraic Geometr
Career Ambition and Employee Performance Behaviour: The Presence of Ideological Development
This study develops and tests a theoretical model that investigates how career ambition can have an impact on different types of academics' performance behaviour, and how ideological development at work can affect this model in a special context of a communist country. In a study of 991 employees in a large university in Vietnam, the model is largely supported. The findings suggest that in-role behaviour has a significant mediating role in the effect of career ambition on extra-role behaviour and that this mediating effect is stronger among the group of employees who have participated in advanced ideological development in the context of Vietnamese higher education. This study advances the understanding of an underdeveloped relationship between career ambition and employee performance behaviour, and expands the knowledge of the impact of ideological development at work
Cohomology of contact loci
We construct a spectral sequence converging to the cohomology with compact
support of the m-th contact locus of a complex polynomial. The first page is
explicitly described in terms of a log resolution and coincides with the first
page of McLean's spectral sequence converging to the Floer cohomology of the
m-th iterate of the monodromy, when the polynomial has an isolated singularity.
Inspired by this connection, we conjecture that if two germs of holomorphic
functions are embedded topologically equivalent, then the Milnor fibers of the
their tangent cones are homotopy equivalent.Comment: final version, to appear in J. Differential Geo

A DSC/TGA STUDY OF THE HETEROGENEOUS NUCLEATION OF CRYSTALLIZATION IN POLYPROPYLENE COPOLYMER
The study is aimed at the evaluation of the influence of nucleating agent (t-butyl)benzoic aluminum (NA) in changing clarity, crystallization temperature (Tp) and radiation resistant properties of polypropylene copolymer, PP (co) with 6% of ethylene. It has been shown that crystallization temperature of PP (co)+NA did not change when the content of the NA less than 2%, but the super cooling temperature is a little bit increased when the content of the NA was 2 or higher than 2%. Clarity of the blend comprising of PP (co)+NA decreases with the addition of 2% or more NA (t-butyl)benzoic aluminum. However, the increase of the supercooling temperature makes possible to improve radiation resistance of the material

Policy Response, Social Media and Science Journalism for the Sustainability of the Public Health System Amid the COVID-19 Outbreak: The Vietnam Lessons
Vietnam, with a geographical proximity and a high volume of trade with China, was the first country to record an outbreak of the new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 or SARS-CoV-2. While the country was expected to have a high risk of transmission, as of April 4, 2020—in comparison to attempts to contain the disease around the world—responses from Vietnam are being seen as prompt and effective in protecting the interests of its citizens, with 239 confirmed cases and no fatalities. This study analyzes the situation in terms of Vietnam’s policy response, social media and science journalism. A self-made web crawl engine was used to scan and collect official media news related to COVID-19 between the beginning of January and April 4, yielding a comprehensive dataset of 14,952 news items. The findings shed light on how Vietnam—despite being under-resourced—has demonstrated political readiness to combat the emerging pandemic since the earliest days. Timely communication on any developments of the outbreak from the government and the media, combined with up-to-date research on the new virus by the Vietnamese science community, have altogether provided reliable sources of information. By emphasizing the need for immediate and genuine cooperation between government, civil society and private individuals, the case study offers valuable lessons for other nations concerning not only the concurrent fight against the COVID-19 pandemic but also the overall responses to a public health crisis
Extent to which people perceive and accept Covid-19 vaccines in north central Vietnam
To achieve herd immunity against Covid-19, the willingness of residents to get vaccinated and successful vaccination policies go hand in hand. This paper aims to understand the perceptions, acceptance, hesitation, and refusal of Covid-19 vaccines in Nghe An, Vietnam. We used an online survey to collect data during March of 2021. The Bayesian regression model (BRM) was used to identify the factors affecting vaccination decisions. The empirical results show that respondents’ livelihoods were considerably affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, and there was a subtle difference in Covid-19 impacts on the lives of urban residents and their rural counterparts. In addition, respondents reported an overall positive attitude towards Covid-19 vaccination in which 84.28% were willing to get vaccinated, 14.85% were hesitant, and 0.87% refused vaccination. Their vaccination decisions were associated with vaccine side effects, information, income, job type, gender, and trust in government. Our findings offer policy implications for devising strategies for vaccine distribution in the study area and beyond
Genetic diversity analysis of black pepper (Piper spp.) with RAPD markers
Black pepper is a well-known export commodity in Vietnam, but pepper production has been decreasing in recent years. The lack of knowledge about the origin and genetic characteristics of pepper varieties may create variety degradation and loss of product quality. Therefore, it is necessary to study the genetic diversity of existing local and imported pepper varieties and effectively propagate and create new varieties with high yields and quality. In this study, RAPD markers were used with 100 RAPD UBC primers to study genetic diversity. Twelve RAPD primers were selected to amplify 39 pepper cultivars, and 40 polymorphic DNA bands were created with sizes ranging from 200 to 1400 bp. Five of the 12 primers amplified all 39 cultivars. The genetic diversity of lines/cultivars in the pepper population is relatively high. The phylogenetic tree of the 39 cultivars has two branches showing similarity ranging from 41.8 to 51%. The first branch includes five pepper individuals, and the second consists of 34 individuals. There is a high diversity among the pepper cultivars in the same population
