    The Association between Body Mass Index, Religion Index, Media, and Body Image in Adolescents

    BACKGROUND: Adolescents experience bio-psychosocial change in their developmental stages. These changes influence their perception about their body look. Some start to dislike their appearance. Someone‟s religiosity may protect them from the negative impact of the environment. Meanwhile, the mass media campaign about “slim ideal” for women and “shape and muscle” for men, is massive. This study aimed to examine the association between body mass index (BMI), religiosity, mass media, and body image in adolescents. SUBJECT AND METHODS: This was a cross sectional study. A sample of 116 students was selected at random for this study from one public and one private senior high school in Surakarta, Indonesia. The dependent variable was negative body image. The independent variables included body mass index (BMI), religiosity, and exposure to “slim ideal” mass media. Body image was measured using Body Shape Questionnaire. Religi-osity was measured using Duke University Religion Index Questionnaire. The data was analyzed using linear regression model. RESULTS: BMI (b=3.22; 95%CI 2.08 to 4.36; p<0.001) and exposure to “slim ideal” mass media (b=16.35; 95%CI 1.92 to 30.78; p=0.027) had positive association with negative body image, and it was statistically signi-ficant. Religiosity (b=-3.10; 95%CI -11.86 to 5.64; p=0.483) had negative association but statistically not significant with negative body image. CONCLUSION: BMI and exposure to “slim ideal” mass media have positive association with negative body image in adolescents. Keywords: body image, adolescents, Body Mass Index, religion index, media

    Community Participation in Sanitation Kampung Program, Surakarta

    Background: Indonesia ranks third in the world in the number of people with limited access to sanitation. Surakarta municipality government in collaboration with local drinking water supplier (PDAM) operate Indonesian Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (IUWASH) to overcome sanitation problems in the form of Sanitation Kampung Program in Semanggi Village, Surakarta. This study aimed to review community participation in Sanitation Kampung Program, Semanggi Village.Subjects and Method: This was a qualitative study conducted at RW 23, Semanggi Village, Pasar Kliwon subdistrict, Surakarta, Central Java. Informants were selected purposively for this study comprising 12 community members as key informants, 2 community leaders, head of Sanitation Kampung Program, and 1 environmental health expert as supporting informants, The data were collected by in-depth interview, focus group discussion, and document review. Data credibility was checked by triangulation. The data were analyzed by content analysis. Results: At the beginning of Sanitation Kampung Program planning there were some pros and cons from the community. Some of the community accepted the program but some others refused it due to negative perception that Sanitation Kampung Program would cause bad smell and pollute well water. In order to overcome community refusal toward Sanitation Kampung Program, IUWASH, Surakarta municipality government, and community leaders, carried out socialization, community approach, and study tour to other places. In the end, the community accepted Sanitation Kampung Program. Community members participated the program by providing support for water and sanitation facility development. Community members made use of the water and sanitation facility for daily activities.     The Role of Non-Governmental Organization in Sanitation Village Program in Semanggi Village, Surakarta

    Background: Sanitation Village Program is one of notable community-based water supply and sanitation development models in Indonesia. A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) namely Community Self-Reliant Group had been established in Semanggi Village Surakarta, to manage Sanitation Village Program. This study aimed to examine the role of non-governmental organization in sanitation village program in Semanggi Village, Surakarta. Subjects and Method: This was an analytical qualitative study with phenomenology approach. The study was carried out in Semanggi Village, Surakarta, Central Java, in June 2017. The informants were selected consisting of 12 community members and 3 community leaders. The data were collected by in-depth interview and focus group discussion. The data were analyze using content analysis. Results: A Community Self-Reliant Group had been established in Semanggi Village, Surakarta, to manage Sanitation Village Program. This group had the responsibility to manage maintenance of water and sanitation facilities, including checking septic communal tanks, checking water facilities and latrines at resident houses, as well as repairing damaged water and sanitation facilities. In addition, the Community Self-Reliant Group had a financial management responsibility role, including financial accounting of sanitation maintenance costs. The group also acted as communication intermediary between community member, community leaders, and external agents such as Public Agency of Water Supply, to solve water and sanitation-related problems. Conclusion: Community Self-Reliant Group has an important role in managing various maintenance activities of water and sanitation facilities, including checking septic communal tanks, checking water facilities and latrines at resident houses, as well as repairing damaged water and sanitation facilities.     The article purpose was to know the relation between BinusMaya with student satisfaction of Bina NusantaraUniversity. The used research method was survey method, corelational technique with collecting data using questioner.The research result was there is correlation coefficient + (0,4336) which mean there is positive relation and includingmedium category between BinusMaya with student satisfaction. Determination coefficient was 0,188 which means 18,8% of student satisfaction variation can be explain by BinusMaya variable. The conclusion was there is positive correlationbetween BinusMaya with the student satisfaction, which means the more effective of BinusMaya so the student satisfactionis getting higher

    A share sale and purchase deed made by a notary based on a power of attorney whose date exceeds the deed often results in legal consequences. To determine the legal consequences that arise, Normative research is used, a statutory approach, uses primary and secondary legal material sources, and uses document study techniques. The aim is to be able to discuss the problems that arise, namely what are the legal consequences arising from the sale and purchase of shares by a notary based on a power of attorney representing the date beyond the deed and what is the form of responsibility by the notary from the legal consequences arising from the making of a share sale and purchase deed based on a power of attorney represents whose date exceeds the deed. The conclusion is that the authentic form of the deed has lost its authenticity, the authority of the party in the deed is considered invalid and invalid. &nbsp; Akta jual beli saham yang dibuat oleh Notaris berdasarkan surat kuasa yang tanggalnya melampui akta seringkali menimbulkan akibat hukum. &nbsp;Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Normatif, pendekatan undang-undang, menggunakan sumber bahan hukum primer dan sekunder, dan menggunakan teknik studi dokumen.     This article describes the interactive multimedia design as a learning medium to provide an innovative learning experience among students. Through media such as audio, video, animation, and the interaction between the media and students can help motivate students to do independent learning. Interactive Multimedia Design aims to introduce Indonesian history to 5th-grade students at S.D.K.Santa Maria Immaculata Tabanan Elementary School. The data used consists of field data and literature using a qualitative approach and collected using several methods such as interviews, observations, literature, and documentation. As a result, on observational at S.D.K.Santa Maria Immaculata Elementary School showed that there were obstacles regarding the lack of teacher skills in making learning media helping increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and interest in learning materials. In addition, in delivering the material on Indonesian history, students are only asked to read what is already in the book. With these obstacles and shortcomings, the author helps teachers to designing interactive multimedia using the explorer concept and cartoon visual style as an illustrative function and supporting media in providing a good understanding of the material to elementary school students
