    CHARACTERIZATION OF OIL PALM SAP (ELAEIS GUINEENSIS JACQ. RESULTS OF ZERO WASTE BASED WASTE TREATMENT)

    Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is a productive plant where every part can be utilized. Not only the flesh and kernels of the palm fruit can be extracted into oil, but the by-products produced during the production process and their waste can also be processed into something useful. One of the zero waste-based palm oil waste processing that is being developed at this time is the use of non-productive oil palm tree trunks during the replanting period, namely by taking the sap. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a factorial experiment design which aims to analyze the quality of palm sap resulting from zero waste-based waste treatment at several variations of tapping time and duration. In this study, there were 2 factors in cross classification, namely factor A (time) and factor B (tapping time). Factor A consists of 2 levels, namely A1: Morning, A2: Afternoon and factor B consists of 3 levels, namely B1: 4 hours, B2: 8 hours, B3: 12 hours. Treatment is a combination of both. To find out the differences in each treatment group, a bivariate test was performed with one way annova test with a 95% confidence level and continued with Duncan's test. The results showed that the combination of tapping time and length of time was significantly different for pH, moisture content, total acid, total solids and alcohol content of palm sap but not significantly different for ash content of palm sap

    Hubungan posisi kerja dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal pada petani

    Petani rentan mengalami keluhan muskuloskeletal karena beban kerja yang berat dan posisi kerja yang tidak ergonomis. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan posisi kerja dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal pada petani. Studi ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional yang melibatkan 39 orang petani. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara langsung dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden. Untuk mengukur keluhan MSDs menggunakan kuesioner Nordic Body Map (NBM). Data dari penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui distribusi frekuensi dari variabel posisi kerja dan keluahan muskuloskeletal. Uji Chi Square dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan posisi kerja dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal, serta menghitung nilai ukuran asosiasi PR (prevalensi ratio). Dari hasil uji statistik terlihat bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara posisi kerja dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal (p=0,017; PR=2,7; 95%CI 1,023-7,389). Responden dengan posisi kerja tidak ergonomis 2,7 kali kecenderungannya mengalami keluhan muskuloskeletal dibanding posisi kerja yang ergonomis

    FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH UTILIZATION OF HEALTH SERVICE TO COMMUNITIES IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE LUBUK PAKAM PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER

    Utilization of health care, improved, prevented and cured disease and restored individual or family health in the medical center, where health-care services are performed well, more and more will take advantage of health care, but the opposite may result if the service is felt inadequate. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors associated with the use of health care in the medical center. This type of research is quantitative using a design design for sectionals. The population in this study is the entire community of officers in the human employment area of the central human housing centre 62 people with 33 samples. The instrument used is a questionnaire Data analysis used Chi Square test, univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with a significant level of 5% with an error rate of = 0.05.Analysis shows that there is a relation between an officer 's attitude with a health care user (p value=0.003) < ? 0,005, there is a perception of pain using health care (p value= 0.001) < ? 0.005 and a waiting time relation with health care (p value= 0.003) < ? 0.005. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that the Lubuk Pakam Health Center is expected to improve the quality of services provided to patients as well as evaluate and pay attention to waiting times to make them even more efficient

    Socialization and Counseling for Students of Al Razi Sinar Harapan Medan Private Vocational High School on the Proper Use of Antibiotics to Prevent Drug Resistance

    To address global challenges related to drug resistance, the role of universities as centers of knowledge and innovation becomes a key driver in overcoming this issue. Universities are expected to actively carry out the three pillars of education, research, and community service. A concrete example of implementing these pillars is through awareness and education activities for students at Al Razi Sinar Harapan Medan Private Vocational High School regarding the appropriate use of antibiotics to prevent drug resistance. These awareness and education activities aim to provide a deep understanding to students about the judicious use of antibiotics as a preventive measure against drug resistance. The methods employed include lectures through presentations, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. To assess the level of understanding among students at Al Razi Sinar Harapan Medan Private Vocational High School regarding the use of antibiotics, an evaluation was conducted using a questionnaire. Based on the questionnaire results, before the awareness and education activities on the correct and proper use of antibiotics, the knowledge level of students at Al Razi Sinar Harapan Medan Private Vocational High School was low. However, after participating in these activities, there was a significant improvement in the students' knowledge about the more appropriate and accurate use of antibiotics. Students who gained this knowledge became more skilled and informed in managing their health, fostering a sense of responsibility for personal and community health. Thus, these awareness and education activities not only directly benefit the students' knowledge but also have a broader positive impact on public health as a whole. This effort is expected to make a positive contribution to reducing irrational antibiotic use and minimizing the impact of drug resistance among students, while also supporting the university's Tridarma vision to create a healthier and smarter society. The conclusion drawn from these activities is that students at Al Razi Sinar Harapan Medan Vocational High School now have a better understanding of antibiotic use and are aware of the risks of drug resistance

    Fruits and vegetables are important components that the body needs to get nutritional content, where fruits and vegetables contain lots of vitamins, fiber, complex vegetable and animal proteins which are very useful for our bodies. The benefits of consuming fruits and vegetables apart from maintaining health conditions also prevent various chronic diseases that can be harmful to humans such as heart disease, cancer, obesity and other diseases. Adolescents are the most vulnerable age group in terms of consumption of vegetables and fruit, this habit will have a negative impact on health in the future. University students are a transitional group from adolescence to early adulthood. This research was conducted to look at the behavior of eating fruits and vegetables in college students. The study used cross sectional with a quantitative approach with a total of 64 peopleThe five senses that transmit knowledge to the brain are the eyes. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education through video and leaflets media on fruit and vegetable consumption of changes. This study is one group pre-test post-test with the type of research pre experiment. Respondents are students of Colleges, the number of respondents as many as 64 respondents. Data were collected by questionnaire pre-test and post-test as well as the Food Frequency Questionnaire, and analyzed by Paired Samples T-test and Independent Sample T-test with alternative by Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney

    Causes of Zoom Fatigue in Teachers During The New Normal During The New Normal Time

    Zoom fatigue is fatigue, anxiety, or worry resulting from overuse of virtual video conferencing platforms. Teachers who spend more time a day with online teaching activities experience significantly more stress, which can cause teachers to experience Zoom fatigue events. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all teachers at public senior high school 1 Lubuk Pakam, totaling 74 teachers and a sample of 42 teachers. The data was collected using questionnaires and interviews and the data was processed using the chi-square test which aims to determine the factors associated with the occurrence of Zoom fatigue in teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results showed that there was a relationship between the variable length of exposure and the incidence of Zoom fatigue (0.011) < (0.05), a relationship between the technology problem variable and the incidence of Zoom fatigue (0.022) < (0.05) and the relationship between student factor variables and incidence of Zoom fatigue (0.005) < (0.05).Teachers said that they felt physically and emotionally exhausted while teaching online using the Zoom. The results of this study are expected to be taken into consideration by teachers to take time to stretch for 10-20 minutes after online teaching activities and provide time for the body and mind to rest for a moment looking at the computer/laptop screen

    SOSIALISASI PEMBERIAN DAUN TORBANGUN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKSI ASI TERHADAP IBU NIFAS DI RUMAH SAKIT GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM

      Abstrak   Pemberian ASI eksklusif memiliki peran yang sangat besar terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada bayi terutama pada periode 0-24 bulan. Masalah yang timbul pada ibu nifas kegagalan dalam menyusui. Salah satu penyebab kejadian kegagalan menyusui adalah kurangnya informasi pengetahuan tentang ASI dan sumber bahan pangan dapat meningkatkan produksi ASI. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi pengabdian masyarakat ini telah dilaksanakan selama tiga hari di Rumah Sakit Grandmed Lubuk Pakam. Tujuan kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI ibu nifas melalui pemberian daun torbangun. Ibu menyusui diberikan 1 porsi daun torbangun rebus selama tiga hari. Pada hari pertama tim pelaksana melakukan edukasi dan diskusi tentang manfaat daun torbangun untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI. Berdasarkan kegiatan sosialisasi ini diperoleh  para peserta mendapat informasi dan pengetahuan tentang manfaat ASI dan pemanfaatan daun torbangun terhadap peningkatan produksi ASI. Dari hasil sosialisasi selama tiga hari bahwa ibu nifas dapat menyusui bayi dengan rata-rata 11,6 menit dengan lama menyusui paling lama adalah 17 menit setiap kali menyusui.   Kata kunci : Daun torbangun, air susu ibu, ibu nifas     Abstract   Exclusive breastfeeding has a very big role in the growth and development of infants, especially in the period 0-24 months. Problems that arise in postpartum mothers are failure to breastfeed. One of the causes of breastfeeding failure is the lack of information about breastfeeding and food sources that can increase breast milk production. The implementation of this community service socialization has been carried out for three days at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. The purpose of this outreach activity is to increase breast milk production for postpartum mothers through the provision of torbangun leaves. Breastfeeding mothers were given 1 portion of boiled torbangun leaves for three days. On the first day, the implementation team conducted education and discussion about the benefits of torbangun leaves to increase breast milk production. Based on this socialization activity, participants got information and knowledge about the benefits of breastfeeding and the use of torbangun leaves to increase breast milk production. From the results of socialization for three days that postpartum mothers can breastfeed their babies with an average of 11.6 minutes with the longest breastfeeding time is 17 minutes each time.   Keywords: torbangun leaves, breast milk, postpartu

    The food service service in the hospital is a very important part because it is the main key in the healing process of patients who are being treated at the hospital. This service aims to fulfill and ensure that the safety of the food to be served to patients is in accordance with quality and balanced nutrition. This research was conducted by conducting pre and post tests to see whether there was an increase in the understanding of food ingredient supervision or not about quality and balanced nutrition in hospitals. The implementation time of this activity was carried out for 1 week with a total of four meetings. Based on this socialization activity, the role of nutritionists in conducting food supervision according to quality and balanced nutrition has increased in terms of food supervision

    Kejadian anemia penyebab utama pendarahan. Anemia merupakan suatu masalah kesehatan akibat defisiensi mineral zat besi (Fe). Penyakit ini merupakan salah satu penyakit yang berhubungan dengan ibu hamil yang dapat mengganggu kesehatan ibu dan janin. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi pengabdian masyarakat ini telah dilaksanakan selama empat hari di Rumah Sakit Grandmed Lubuk Pakam. Tujuan kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin melalui pemberian minuman kurma. Ibu hamil diberikan 1 gelas minuman kurma selama empat hari. Pada hari pertama tim pelaksana melakukan edukasi dan diskusi tentang manfaat kurma untuk meningkatkan kadar Hb. Berdasarkan kegiatan sosialisasi ini diperoleh  para peserta mendapat informasi dan pengetahuan tentang anemia dan pemanfaatan minuman kurma terhadap peningkatan kadar Hb. Dari hasil sosialisasi selama empat hari bahwa setelah pemberian minuman kurma dapat meningkatkan kadar Hb ibu hamil anemia  dengan rata-rata 0,24 mg/dl dari 18 peserta.   The incidence of anemia is the main cause of bleeding. Anemia is a health problem due to deficiency of the mineral iron (Fe). This disease is one of the diseases associated with pregnant women that can interfere with the health of the mother and fetus. The implementation of this community service socialization has been carried out for four days at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. The purpose of this socialization activity is to increase hemoglobin levels through the provision of date drinks. Pregnant women are given 1 glass of date drink for four days. On the first day, the implementing team conducted education and discussion about the benefits of dates to increase Hb levels. Based on this socialization activity, participants obtained information and knowledge about anemia and the use of date drinks to increase Hb levels. From the results of socialization for four days that after giving dates drinks can increase the Hb level of anemic pregnant women by an average of 0.24 mg/dl from 18 participants

    FACTORS AFFECTING PATIENT SATISFACTION HOSPITALIZATION OF FOOD SERVICE AT GRANDMED LUBUK PAKAM HOSPITAL

    Health services in hospitals consist of various parts, one of which is nutrition services. The hospital nutrition service program aims to improve the quality of hospital services by providing efficient and integrated nutrition services with other health services. Nutrition services in hospitals are part of supporting health services, namely part of medical therapy. This type of research is a quantitative research with an analytical survey with a cross sectional design which aims to determine the factors that influence inpatient satisfaction with food serving at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. The population in this study were all inpatients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital, which 256 patients were found based on an initial survey conducted in March 2022. The sample in this study were inpatients in the 3D room collected by 30 patients who were taken using the accidental sampling technique. Data collection uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data using a prepared questionnaire while secondary data obtained from the Medical Record section in the form of data on the number of inpatients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. After the data was processed using the chi square test at the 95% confidence level (α = 5%). The basis for decision making with the provision that if the value of p < then H0 is rejected which can be concluded that there is a relationship between the independent and dependent variables. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the factors that influence the level of satisfaction with the presentation of inpatients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital, with an average result of 73.9%, (patients are satisfie
