The "Motivation and School Learning" work addresses students' motivation and learning issues, which helps them understand the benefits of these two processes, so that the goals set by them are attained. The theme chosen by us is important in that it presents the forms of motivation and its influence on the teaching-learning process and the harmonious development of the student's personality. To be motivated is to act, to tend towards something, to do something. A student who feels no impulse or need to act is an unmotivated student, while a student who is activated or energized to act toward a goal is considered a motivated student. It is important for the pupil to show interest in school, to accomplish the school tasks and to meet the established goals. To be successful, teachers need to form a teaching-learning style that motivates students, centered on arguing their usefulness, enhancing existing skills and competences, and ensuring action. It is good for teachers to encourage students to take ambitious goals or to persuade them to accept the goals they propose, depending on the interests and skills identified

THE IMPACT OF THE CONCEPT OF LEADERSHIP IN EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT

    Get PDF
The proliferation of leadership policies in education, especially in secondary education, had a major role in transforming schools into complex organizations, with a major impact on the role of teachers and how they carry out their work. Thus, the concepts of educational management, training, leadership, have become very topical, imposing new coordinates such as excellence in education, the teaching act as an end and assuming responsibility for the needs, standards and expectations of the organization. Leadership is an art and a science. There are leaders in management positions who fail to have results due to the lack of expertise and proper management tools. On the other hand, a manager that has no leadership qualities will always have problems with building and motivating a team. Developing a school, seen both in terms of decentralization and about the needs and skills of modern society implies a direct and indirect development of the qualities and behavior of the manager, seen as a key element to the motivation and involvement of teachers. So, we talk about a successful leader. If a school is functioning, that does not mean that it is a successful one. It is important in this case the way it is run, the principles and values that are reflected in practice

    No full text
This article deals with the evaluation of performance and school results. In this process, the teacher's role is explained by the term "manager". The teacher acts like a manager because he sets some goals that he / she has to fulfill, has control and continuously monitors the activity of the students. Evaluating school results means determining the extent to which the objectives of the training program have been achieved and the effectiveness of the teaching-learning methods used. The evaluation is intended to provide the information needed to "regulate" and "improve" activity from one stage to the next by adopting appropriate measures to increase the efficiency of the activity. School assessment is a feedback for both the student and the teacher

PARTICULARITIES OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT IN THE SPECIFIC CULTURE OF THE ROMANIAN COMPANIES

    No full text
Organizational culture and organizational commitment represent two of the most important concepts to be considered Ć®n an well-functioning organization, having a direct influence over employees` lives in that company. Organizational culture, a scientific concept appeared in the field literature at the end of 1980`, in an increasingly unstable business environment, could be defined as a defined series of collective attitudes, ideas, beliefs, symbols and meanings, values and ideologies, rules and norms, feelings or behaviors, as a model and structure of stable practices shared by all the members of that organization and which, by being implemented, come to merge with the structure of organization and its control systems, with the purpose of producing behavioral norms, this way keeping Ā the unit of organization. In the same time, organizational commitment represents the feeling of membership, of belonging felt by the employee toward the company he/she works in, reflecting the degree to which those characteristics and organizational perspectives are internalized and adopted in his behavior by the subject. Commitment could be also seen as a model of thinking of an employee taking into consideration the level to which personal values and goals are congruent with those of the company. On the other hand, behavioral commitment refers to the process of one employee becoming committed or even stacked into the organization and the way he manage the situation. Our motivation for choosing the theme of this research lays on one hand in the desire to understand the construct of organizational culture and the organizational development, field which I`m interested in, Ā and on the other hand because the lack of similar research regarding the Romanian companies. The research We have made revealed that there are many studies linking the two concepts with the organizational development in companies from other countries, but only two studies realized in our country, and neither of them for the private field of business (both being conceived for public institutions)

COVID-19 pandemic-related perceived risk of infection, illness fears, acute stress, emotional anxiety, exhaustion, and fatigue, psychological trauma and depressive symptoms, and sustained psychological distress can cause smartphone addiction risk and lead to technology-related cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disorders, thus impacting psychological well-being. Behavioral addiction of smartphone users can result in anxiety symptom severity, psychiatric symptoms, and depressive stress. We carried out a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest throughout June 2022, with search terms including "smartphone addictionā€‰+ā€‰COVID-19"ā€‰+ā€‰"stress," "anxiety," "depression," "psychological distress," "screen time," and "fear." As we analyzed only articles published between 2020 and 2022, 288 papers met the eligibility criteria. By excluding sources with similar titles, having unclear findings or unsupported by replication, or displaying inconsistent content, we selected 64, mainly empirical, sources. We used layout algorithms (VOSviewer) and bibliometric mapping (Dimensions) as data visualization tools. Assessing the Methodological Quality of Systematic Reviews (AMSTAR), a systematic review and literature review software (Distiller SR), Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT), and Systematic Review Data Repository (SRDR) were employed as methodological quality assessment tools. As limitations, we analyzed only articles published between 2020 and 2022 in scholarly outlets indexed in the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases. The scope of our study also does not advance the inspection of sources covering vulnerable individuals suffering from certain diseases or specific generations. Subsequent analyses should develop on smartphone use and addiction among children and adolescents. Future research should thus investigate problematic smartphone use and addiction across generations Z and Alpha. Attention should be directed to their personality traits and psychopathological symptoms
