    THE RESOCIALIZATION PROCESS OF ELDERLY AND DISABLED THROUGH CLUB ACTIVITIES IN INSTITUTIONAL CARE

    Purpose: The article presents the results of sociological research on the issues of the re-socialization of elderly and people with functional limitations and health problems through club activities, based on the example of five institutions (boarding houses for the elderly and disabled) located in Belgorod region. Methodology: The study was conducted in 2019 and included two stages: (1) the survey of elderly and disabled, living in institutional care (n = 60) and (2) the expert survey (n = 30), including employees and the administration of boarding houses for the elderly and disabled. Result: The research found that the successful re-socialization of the elderly and disabled living in residential institutions depends on a combination of factors: the social infrastructure of the institutional care, health status, interpersonal relations with the staff, the range of social connections, as well as the diversity of leisure facilities and their own activity. The results of the study suggest that the involvement in the club activities of the elderly and disabled, living in residential institutions will become a significant resource for their re-socialization process. Applications: This research can be used for universities, teachers, and students.     Pridnestrovian Migrant Workers in the Country of the Recipient: Quality of Life and Employment Features

    The article pays the attention to the role of Pridnestrovian migrants at the Russian labor market regarding the life’s quality, social interaction and employment. Authors think that migration policy of native and welcoming sides should be based on pragmatic approach when migrants’ labor should promote the development of human capital. Positive prerequisites of such process are social, demographic, professional, linguistic and cultural characteristics of Pridnestrovian migrants. The article contains the results of the survey of migrants (n=270), living in all regions of Pridnestrovie, conducted by the employees of the Pridnestrovie State University named after T.G. Shevchenko. The sample is formed based on heterogeneity of respondents and includes such criteria as gender, age, level of education, ethnicity and citizenship.     Social interaction as a factor of elderly and disabled people’s activity in receiving cardiovascular health services in Russia

    The article presents the results of studying thepeculiarities of the social interaction and its influenceon the social activity of the elderly anddisabled people in receiving cardiovascular health servicesin the Russian Federation. In order to study the level ofknowledge about cardiovascular health and the preventionof cardiovascular diseases in February – June, 2018the sociological research was conducted in Belgorod region(Russia) among elderly and disabled (n=240) byLaboratory of social projects of the Belgorod NationalResearch University. The main research methods werequalitative (content analysis of individual social rehabilitationmaps of the elderly and disabled) and quantitativemethods (questionnaires). The results of the study showsthat the more elderly and disabled people are included insocial interactions, the more they choose cardiovascularservices from the entire types of social services; peoplewho are not included in social interactions apply for cardiovascularservices in cases of acute pain or a seriousphysical limitation of Breathinging function; socially activeelderly and disabled people apply for cardiovascularservices for a variety of psychological and aesthetic reasons;the assessment of cardiovascular health by the elderlyand the disabled themselves was more positive thanthat of the cardiologist; elderly and disabled people livingin institutions have better cardiovascular health and moreoften receive cardiovascular services than those who areliving at home
