Transformation of University Models: Analysis of the Development Strategies of Universities in the World
The paper presents an analysis of the key characteristics of the typological models of modern universities and outlines the directions of their transformation. The concept of University 3.0 was used as a research methodology in view of the existing approaches to the classification of university models. The research method was the qualitative analysis of the strategic development documents of the various universities of the world posted on their websites. The selection of the universities for analysis was carried out on the basis of the results of the QS WUR 2022 ranking. The sample was made up of 30 universities from North America, Europe, Asia, and Russia, occupying various ranking positions. As a result, there were revealed the features of the strategic priorities for the development of Russian and foreign universities, as well as universities aimed at global and regional influence. A set of basic characteristics of typological models of universities 1.0-4.0 has been developed. It has been established that the transformation of these models takes place in the direction of increasing the scope of their mission, expanding the areas of activity, using new digital technologies, developing integration potential and strengthening the impact on society. The defining parameters for the formation of the model of the university of the future are focus on innovation and advanced continuous education, managed broad integration, diversification of income sources, social involvement and contribution to sustainable development. The presented complex of the main characteristics of typological models of universities can serve as a tool for assessing the compliance of a particular university with a particular model, as well as contribute to goal-setting in the development of the national higher education system and particular universities
High-Q trenched aluminum coplanar resonators with an ultrasonic edge microcutting for superconducting quantum devices
Dielectric losses are one of the key factors limiting the coherence of
superconducting qubits. The impact of materials and fabrication steps on
dielectric losses can be evaluated using coplanar waveguide (CPW) microwave
resonators. Here, we report on superconducting CPW microwave resonators with
internal quality factors systematically exceeding 5x106 at high powers and
2x106 (with the best value of 4.4x106) at low power. Such performance is
demonstrated for 100-nm-thick aluminum resonators with 7-10.5 um center trace
on high-resistivity silicon substrates commonly used in quantum Josephson
junction circuits. We investigate internal quality factors of the resonators
with both dry and wet aluminum etching, as well as deep and isotropic reactive
ion etching of silicon substrate. Josephson junction compatible CPW resonators
fabrication process with both airbridges and silicon substrate etching is
proposed. Finally, we demonstrate the effect of airbridges positions and extra
process steps on the overall dielectric losses. The best quality fa ctors are
obtained for the wet etched aluminum resonators and isotropically removed
substrate with the proposed ultrasonic metal edge microcutting.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figure
Hypobarotherapy in correction clinical disorders of menopausal syndrom in women with natural and surgical menopause
The aim of the research was to evaluate effectiveness of hypobarotherapy in comparison with hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) in correction clinical disturbances in 216 women with menopausal syndrom. The technique hypobaric hypoxia in a pressure chamber 'Ural -1 ' at simulated altitude of 3500 m (460 mm.Hg.) 22 three hours daily session course is used at treatment women with different type of menopause (natural and surgical menopause). Influence of the given not medicamentous method of treatment, hormonal replacement therapy and complex therapy (hypobarotherapy and HRT) on clinical symptoms of menopausal syndrome in women with different type of menopause was estimated. New Polynomial-Based Molecular Descriptors with Low Degeneracy
In this paper, we introduce a novel graph polynomial called the βinformation polynomialβ of a graph. This graph polynomial can be derived by using a probability distribution of the vertex set. By using the zeros of the obtained polynomial, we additionally define some novel spectral descriptors. Compared with those based on computing the ordinary characteristic polynomial of a graph, we perform a numerical study using real chemical databases. We obtain that the novel descriptors do have a high discrimination power
Multifrequency monitoring of the blazar 0716+714 during the GASP-WEBT-AGILE campaign of 2007
Since the CGRO operation in 1991-2000, one of the primary unresolved
questions about the blazar gamma-ray emission has been its possible correlation
with the low-energy (in particular optical) emission. To help answer this
problem, the Whole Earth Blazar Telescope (WEBT) consortium has organized the
GLAST-AGILE Support Program (GASP) to provide the optical-to-radio monitoring
data to be compared with the gamma-ray detections by the AGILE and GLAST
satellites. This new WEBT project started in early September 2007, just before
a strong gamma-ray detection of 0716+714 by AGILE. We present the GASP-WEBT
optical and radio light curves of this blazar obtained in July-November 2007,
about various AGILE pointings at the source. We construct NIR-to-UV spectral
energy distributions (SEDs), by assembling GASP-WEBT data together with UV data
from the Swift ToO observations of late October. We observe a contemporaneous
optical-radio outburst, which is a rare and interesting phenomenon in blazars.
The shape of the SEDs during the outburst appears peculiarly wavy because of an
optical excess and a UV drop-and-rise. The optical light curve is well sampled
during the AGILE pointings, showing prominent and sharp flares. A future
cross-correlation analysis of the optical and AGILE data will shed light on the
expected relationship between these flares and the gamma-ray events.Comment: 5 pages, 5 figures, to be published in A&A (Letters); revised to

A direct comparison of strategies for combinatorial RNA interference

Abstract

Background

Combinatorial RNA interference (co-RNAi) is a valuable tool for highly effective gene suppression of single and multiple-genes targets, and can be used to prevent the escape of mutation-prone transcripts. There are currently three main approaches used to achieve co-RNAi in animal cells; multiple promoter/shRNA cassettes, long hairpin RNAs (lhRNA) and miRNA-embedded shRNAs, however, the relative effectiveness of each is not known. The current study directly compares the ability of each co-RNAi method to deliver pre-validated siRNA molecules to the same gene targets.

Results

Double-shRNA expression vectors were generated for each co-RNAi platform and their ability to suppress both single and double-gene reporter targets were compared. The most reliable and effective gene silencing was achieved from the multiple promoter/shRNA approach, as this method induced additive suppression of single-gene targets and equally effective knockdown of double-gene targets. Although both lhRNA and microRNA-embedded strategies provided efficient gene knockdown, suppression levels were inconsistent and activity varied greatly for different siRNAs tested. Furthermore, it appeared that not only the position of siRNAs within these multi-shRNA constructs impacted upon silencing activity, but also local properties of each individual molecule. In addition, it was also found that the insertion of up to five promoter/shRNA cassettes into a single construct did not negatively affect the efficacy of each individual shRNA.

Conclusions

By directly comparing the ability of shRNAs delivered from different co-RNA platforms to initiate knockdown of the same gene targets, we found that multiple U6/shRNA cassettes offered the most reliable and predictable suppression of both single and multiple-gene targets. These results highlight some important strengths and pitfalls of the currently used methods for multiple shRNA delivery, and provide valuable insights for the design and application of reliable co-RNAi.</p
Clinical and laboratory characteristics and analis of microflora in intestine and reproductive tract by women with intrauterum pathology
In paper is presented the materials about clinical, laboratory and microbiological characteristics by 72 women with intrauterum pathology (mioma of uterus, hyperplastic process of endometrium and cervix). Considerable proportion of patients (51,6-89,5%) has microecologically breachs in intestine and reproductive tract is fixed. Many correlations (r=0,23-0,74; p<0,05) in system 'microflora of biotopes of reproductive tract (vagina, canalis cervicalis) - intestinal microflora" of women with intrauterum pathology is educed. Particular qualities of bioprofiles by 'genital' strains of Staphylococcus and Enterobacteriaceae is described, pathogenic and persistent potential of microorganisms is estimated. Necessity of clinical-microbiological monitoring women with intrauterum pathology in pre- and postoperative periods after hysteroscopy for prophylaxy of complications and nosocomial infections is founded.Π ΡΡΠ°ΡΡΠ΅ Π΄Π°Π½Π° ΠΊΠ»ΠΈΠ½ΠΈΠΊΠΎ-Π»Π°Π±ΠΎΡΠ°ΡΠΎΡΠ½Π°Ρ ΠΈ ΠΌΠΈΠΊΡΠΎΠ±ΠΈΠΎΠ»ΠΎΠ³ΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠ°Ρ Ρ

The unprecedented optical outburst of the quasar 3C 454.3. The WEBT campaign of 2004-2005
The radio quasar 3C 454.3 underwent an exceptional optical outburst lasting
more than 1 year and culminating in spring 2005. The maximum brightness
detected was R = 12.0, which represents the most luminous quasar state thus far
observed (M_B ~ -31.4). In order to follow the emission behaviour of the source
in detail, a large multiwavelength campaign was organized by the Whole Earth
Blazar Telescope (WEBT). Continuous optical, near-IR and radio monitoring was
performed in several bands. ToO pointings by the Chandra and INTEGRAL
satellites provided additional information at high energies in May 2005. The
historical radio and optical light curves show different behaviours. Until
about 2001.0 only moderate variability was present in the optical regime, while
prominent and long-lasting radio outbursts were visible at the various radio
frequencies, with higher-frequency variations preceding the lower-frequency
ones. After that date, the optical activity increased and the radio flux is
less variable. This suggests that the optical and radio emissions come from two
separate and misaligned jet regions, with the inner optical one acquiring a
smaller viewing angle during the 2004-2005 outburst. Moreover, the colour-index
behaviour (generally redder-when-brighter) during the outburst suggests the
presence of a luminous accretion disc. A huge mm outburst followed the optical
one, peaking in June-July 2005. The high-frequency (37-43 GHz) radio flux
started to increase in early 2005 and reached a maximum at the end of our
observing period (end of September 2005). VLBA observations at 43 GHz during
the summer confirm theComment: 7 pages, 4 figures, to be published in A&
