Using Acoustic Emission Method When Carrying out Fatigue Tests of Pitch Arm of EH-101 Helicopter
In the process of fatigue testing it is important to register the arising of the fatigue damages at the earliest stage. This work shows the efficiency of using acoustic emission method on the example of conducting fatigue testing of pitch arm of EH 101 helicopter. There is given the description of a stand and methods of conducting fatigue testing of a pitch arm of EH 101 helicopter. Labi izstrÄdÄtajÄm un plaÅ”i pielietotajÄm NK metodÄm, piemÄram, ultraskaÅas, virpuļstrÄvu, kapilÄru, magnÄtiskÄ u.c. metodÄm piemÄ«t vairÄki trÅ«kumi, kuri apgrÅ«tina vai padara par neiespÄjamu to pielietoÅ”anu vairÄkÄs praktiskÄs situÄcijÄs. AE metode ar augstu ticamÄ«bas pakÄpi ļauj konstatÄt grÅ«ti pieejamu konstrukciju iecirkÅu struktÅ«ras defektus un noguruma bojÄjumus un sekot lÄ«dzi to attÄ«stÄ«bai gan noguruma pÄrbaudÄs, gan ekspluatÄcijas laikÄ. Lietojot AE metodi, defektus ir iespÄjams konstatÄt agrÄ«nÄ attÄ«stÄ«bas stadijÄ, kÄ arÄ« bojÄjumus klasificÄt pÄc bÄ«stamÄ«bas pakÄpes. The Helicopterās MI-26T Tail and Fin Booms Stressed State under Static Loading
We have carried out investigation of the helicopter MI-26T used in industry, construction studies and technical resources to determine the status of the helicopter. We have analyzed the elements of the force helicopter tail of local-controlled helicopter, and found defect in the resource and the safe zone. The obtained test results allowed to identify the critical elements of a helicopter tail sites and resources, and to adjust for the repairs. On the basis of the mathematical model a possible flaw location has been found. The results obtained allow to increase the helicopter MI-26T secure resources, provided the use of the model formulated by the force helicopter tail elements of the repair and strengthening of the planned repairs at the time of the force elements of the planned repair
Research on the Propagation of AE Signals in Helicopter Structural Components
The paper contains results of experimental research carried out helicopter bench. In order to create an attenuation chart for AE signal amplitude in helicopter fuselage, a number of experiments were performed on the frame and stringers, inside the fuselage. Later helicopter test bench was used to develop defect localization methodology of helicopter structure fatigue damage technical diagnostics. Analysing helicopter structural defects for different helicopters types it is concluded that the joint elements of helicopter tail boom are still exposed to fatigue crack formation. AE method shows highly effective results predicting fracture of helicopter joint elements
Acoustic Emission Monitoring of Fatigue Crack Origination during Titanium Specimens Tests
The titanium alloy VT3-1 has been used in fatigue tests. During the tests, there were performed Acoustic Emission monitoring. The main idea of the crack detection in fatigue tests is based on the introduced earlier ā -criterionā. ā -criterionā - break in the graph line that represents the total acoustic emission dependence on the number of loading cycles.
