    Perancangan struktur bangunan di daerah rawan gempa seperti Bukittinggi harus mengikuti peraturan-peraturan yang ditetapkan pemerintah. Pemerintah telah menerbitkan peraturan tentang Tata Cara Perencanaan Ketahanan Gempa Untuk Struktur Bangunan Gedung dan Non Gedung, yaitu SNI 03-1726-2002 dan pemerintah juga telah menerbitkan peraturan terbaru tentang Tata Cara Perencanaan Ketahanan Gempa Untuk Struktur Bangunan Gedung dan Non Gedung, yaitu SNI 03-1726-2012. Perlu untuk diketahui perbedaan antara kedua peraturan tersebut, serta nilai perbandingan dimensi struktur yang direncanakan berdasarkan SNI 03-1726- 2002 dengan dimensi struktur yang direncanakan berdasarkan SNI 03-1726-2012. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil design antara realisasi lapangan yang telah dirancang menggunakan SNI terdahulu dengan SNI terbaru yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah. Struktur dianalisa melewati tahapan seperti halnya perencanaan dimulai dari preliminary design, pembebanan struktur, pembebanan gempa menggunakan metoda terbaru yaitu respons spectrum atau memasukkan grafik berdasarkan tabel percepatan dasar batuan, analisa gaya yang terjadi pada struktur dengan menggunakan SAP 2000 versi demo, penulangan berdasarkan hasil output SAP 2000 versi demo, membandingkan penulangan realisasi lapangan dengan hasil analisa. Didapatkan hasil bahwa bangunan didesign menggunakan faktor keamanan yang tinggi sehingga hasil analisis tidak menyimpang dari realisasi lapangan yang terlihat pada hasil penulangan kolom, balok utama, balok anak, ring balok, dan plat masih lebih kecil dari pada realisasi penulangan di lapangan

    Oficers Discipline at the South Totikum District Office of Banggai Islands has not been implemented optimally. The aim of research is to find out the implementation of Civil Servants (PNS) policy at the South Totikum District Offce of Banggai islands. This type of research is qualitative research and there are 7 informants selected through the selection technique. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation technique. Data analysis techniques is conclucted through data editing, categorization, meaning of the data interpretation and drawing consclution, The teory used is the model of policy implementation by George C. Edward III with variables communication, resources, disposition and bueratic structure. The results shows that the implementation of discipline policies at the South Totikum District Office of Banggai Islands has not been implemented optimalty due to communication of discipline execution toward the civil servants is implemented in one direction in a form of directives which is given by the highest leader (Head) to the structural officers then it is forwaded to subordinate (Employees). This resulted in less effective communication, so that the implementation of the officers discipline has not run optimally, the absence of a strong comitmen to carry out the implementation of discipline consistently and consequently, the leadership (district head) and structural officers did not establish good coordination and cooperation in handling the implementation of discipline, and the lack of good role models in implementing discipline, also there is an imbalance between rewards and punishment to the employee with good achievement and discipline violators

    Perbandingan Kuat Tekan Beton antara Campuran Aggregat Kasar Batu Pecah (Split) dengan Batu Alam Palembayan untuk Beton Struktur

    Kekuatan beton sekarang ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh bahan dan material yang digunakan serta dilatar belakangi oleh dua jenis aggregat kasar dan mutu beton yang dipakai untuk struktur bangunan. Sehingga mampu memenuhi kebutuhan struktur saat ini.Pemilihan material beton dilakukan untuk menentukan kekuatan karakteristik dari struktur beton itu sendiri, material dari aggregat kasar yang dipergunakan aggregat kasar batu pecah (split) dan aggregat kasar batu alam kemudian yang sangat menentukan sekali adalah aggregat halus.Dalam penelitian perbandingan campuran beton memakai aggregat halus pasir murni dengan membandingkan aggregat halus yang dicampur dengan debu batu bara dengan porsentase campurannya 1%, 2%, 5%, 10% dan 15% , kemudian diukur nilai slump dengan dengan air yang bervariasi dan air untuk 1m3 campuran membutuhkan air yang maksimalnya sekitar 259 liter, masing-masing dilakukan pengujian terhadap benda uji berbentuk selinder pada umur 7 hari, 14 hari, 21 hari dan 28 hari, dan analisa akhir pada penelitian ini adalah umur 28 hari, ternyata campuran beton aggregat halus dicampur dengan debu batu bara lebih tinggi kuat tekan beton struktur, pada mutu beton rencana yang sama (K 250), dengan selisih pebedaan sekitar 5%

    Designing a Multimodal Graph System to Support Non-Visual Interpretation of Graphical Information

    While researchers have performed numerous studies to understand the human interpretation of visual graphs in reading, comprehending and interpreting displayed data; visually impaired (VI) users still face many challenges that prevent them from fully benefiting from these graphs. Thus, it influences their understanding of data visualization and in turn reduces their role in collaborating with their sighted colleagues in educational and working environments. We intend to develop a mobile application where visually impaired users can work together to build a collaborative graph that supported by data sonification in the mobile environment. The system properties were all tested by the task of identifying line trends in time series, which resulted in an accuracy of more than 80% for notes below 20 points. The usability testing has given result of 6.7 out 10 based on users' perception on the effectivity of the features

    The Effect of Lego Mindstorms as an Innovative Educational Tool to Develop Students' Creativity Skills for a Creative Society

    Creativity is a very important skill that should be possessed by the human resources of a country, especially in this period of the 21st century. Human creativity must be stimulated from various things, including via the field of education to improve the quality of human resources. The goal of this study was to investigate the impact of Lego Mindstorms as learning tools to improve the creativity skills of students, using an experimental methodology. We used a random sampling technique to select 40 students as the sample (N=40) for the study, with age ranging 10-12 years old; the sample was divided 2 groups, 20 students were assigned to the control groups, while the other 20 students formed the experimental groups. The student's creativity skills were taken from a figural creativity test (TKF). This test was conducted before the intervention (pretest) and after the intervention program (posttest). In the intervention program, the experimental group students were given some education about robotic technology via the use of the Lego Mindstorms tools. To analyze the test results, we utilized the Statistical Product and Service Solutions package. The finding showed that there are significant differences between the creativity scores of students in the experimental group and the creativity scores of the control group. The Lego Mindstorms influences the enhancement of student's creativity of around 23.6% in the experimental groups

    The businesses in various fields use the online communication application to gather their data and information with local and global sources. The gathered data may sensitive such as the financial and businesses development information. The hackers or online thief try to stole the valuable data i.e. credit card numbers. The organizations looking for secure online channels in order to transfer their data efficiently and avoid the data thieving. One of the most applicable methods that developed to secure the online transferred data is the cryptography which transfers the original data or information to encrypted formulation. Cryptography still has many drawbacks such as stole and decrypts the original texts using automatic decryption counter. The main aim of this research is to improve the cryptography securing level using supportive method which is Steganography. The Steganography is the processes of hide the data or information in media files such as video, images and audio files. There are four stages represent the methodology of this paper; (1) encrypt the original texts using RSA algorithm, (2) hide the encrypted texts in Image files, (3) extract the encrypted texts from Image files, and (4) decrypt the original texts using decryption key of RSA algorithm. It is expected to improve the security level of the online transferred textual data. The performance of the final results will be evaluated through compare the Image files quality before and after hide the data in these files. The quality of the original and stego Image files need to be same or near in order to maximize the difficulty of detect that there data hide in these files

    Predicting GDP of Indonesia Using K-Nearest Neighbour Regression

    The impact of the global recession in 1998 that originated from the recession in the US will affect the projected economies in Asia, including Indonesia, both direct and indirect nature. In this study, we predicted Indonesia's GDP in the event of the economic crisis that hit Indonesia starting in 1998. Instead of using the famous prediction algorithm as a neural network and linear regression. K-Nearest Neighbour is selected because it is easy and fast to use in the small dataset. We use a dataset from 1980-2002, consisting of rice prices, premium prices, GDP of Japanese country, American GDP, currency exchange rates, Indonesian government consumption, and the value of Indonesia's oil exports. For evaluation, we compare k-NN regression prediction result with prediction result using back propagation neural network and multiple linear regression algorithm. Result show, k-NN regression is able to predict Indonesia's GDP using small dataset better than the neural network, and multiple linear regression method

    In order to realize the goal of development between an area to another region through land transportation, it is very important in the construction of road facilities. In civil construction science, material that can be used as material greatly determines the quality and quantity of the construction.Base construction or foundation layer is very besides as a foundation layer also to bear the burden of vehicles or traffic that passes through the construction of the road, so that material is needed quality.For the implementation of planning for pavement thickness of pavement construction layers, it is necessary to consider all the factors that can affect road construction such as road function, age of plan, traffic, carrying capacity of land, regional factors, surface index (IP), equivalent numbers, average daily traffic, Pavement Thickness Index and Relative strength Coefficient.In making road construction, the material used determines the quality of the road, so in the implementation of road construction it is necessary to carry out laboratory testing, which in the labor test discussed is coarse aggregates originating from Solok Sumatra B arat district, which will later be used for Base Class A on the road. The implementation of the Tests that the authors carried out was the calculation of the aggregate class A class proportion, Aggregate Specific Gravity, Compaction Test of the Base Class A aggregate mixture, Laboratory CBR Testing, and CBR Plan determination.The test results obtained can be a recommendation whether or not the aggregate can be used. Laboratory test results were obtained from the results of the testing of aggregate Class A material derived from solok. Testing the aggregate proportion of base A meets the requirements because it enters the filter 2 "to filter 200, Testing the aggregate density obtained density 2,685, Testing for aggregate compaction obtained Weight Content = 2.763% and Optimum moisture content = 5.75%. From the value of the above test results it can be concluded that the coarse aggregates originating from Solok can be used for Base Class A on Road construction work
