    Focusing on the woman’s artistic gymnasts, this study investigated how the creation of a group atmosphere influences psychological features and sport attitudes. Results showed that the number of years in competitive sport and sporting prowess was higher among university gymnasts than in junior gymnasts. This finding accords with previous studies. We also observed that the level of cooperation was higher among university gymnasts than junior gymnasts. This result suggests that the team captain’s leadership may play a role in increasing cooperativeness. These findings imply that in both team sports and individual sports, improving cooperativeness does not only raises players’ motivation; it enhances a team atmosphere and has a positive influence on individual players psychologically and behaviorally

    This study focused on Front Handspring portion of a gymnastics class, a physical education specialty course within middle-school teacher training. Subjects were students at a women’s junior college. With the aim of establishing training that“ enables one to perform an action after understanding it,” the author proposed a methodological kinetic series based on dynamic sensations. Investigation was then made of dynamic sensations( kinesthesia) that occurred when performing this series within a class. Conclusions from the results are as follows. 1) Classroom instruction was performed using this kinetic series, and a questionnaire-based survey was made to determine student awareness of the kinds of dynamic sensations generated within the series. 2) Physical learning( acquisition) of the following is essential to the skillful performance of Front Handspring: Speed of approach( dynamic hurdle), the sensations of quick turnover of the ntire body, the sensations of handstand with straight arms, the sensations of repelling the floor through the hands with eye contact, landing with flat feet pressing the floor, and finally getting up with a tight stomach. Within these processes, effective in the acquisition of handstand skills were handstand-capability confirmation (handstands using a wall with open legs and closed legs), and instructional guidance on“ bridging” these processes. Comparison between the start and end of the classroom session showed a significant change towards a positive direction in the handstand execution abilities of students, and the classroom instruction as performed was shown to be effective. It was also confirmed that dynamic sensations certainly existed within students who participated in the class as performed, that the teaching (classroom instruction) program̶created as based on the dynamic sensations of the instructor and used to engender changes in the dynamic sensations of participating students̶functioned effectively, and further that it had major impact effects

    We analyzed variations in student needs for establishing specialized subjects and qualifications, with the goal of obtaining data concerning revision of education content and the state of support at a women’s college of physical education and sports science. The following results were obtained. (1) A trend was shown for courses on nutrition, psychology, pedagogy, medicine, and coaching to be classified as foundation subjects for students majoring in athletics, and this trend did not change over the 4-year study period. (2) There was a trend for interest in subjects to change along with yearly grade advancement from competition to health focus. (3) Some students did not perceive a junior/high school teacher’s certificate to be an adequate qualifications and intention for acquisition was high throughout the 4-year study period. (4) There was a tendency to attach importance to acquisition a variety of qualifications which was maintained even with yearly grade advancement. However, 3rd and 4th year students showed a tendency to attempt to acquire qualifications in a preferential manner. (5) Although there were characteristic changes in motivation for acquisition of each qualification, a gradually declining trend was shown overall

    This study is the 3rd stage of the continuation study. The purpose of this study is to analyze a change in student’s needs with grade progress to special subjects and qualifications and to collect materials to reorganize a curriculum. The results were summarized as follows: 1.When learning health and sports, students place nutrition, psychology, teacher-training subjects, health science, medicine and coating in basic subjects. 2.It’s interested in many subjects at 1st grader, and it’s interested in subjects related to health and society at second grader, it’s interested in subjects about support and contribution at 3rd grader. 3.Students’ request is to acquire a teacher’s license, and that doesn’t change for 3 years. 4.The students’ acquisition will to“ recreation instructor” and“ handicapped sports instructor” is increased with grade progress. Students have an interest to“ athletic trainer” in 3rd grader. 5.The will which tries to acquire other qualification is low and its will indicates the decline tendency as well as grade progress. It was supposed that the selectivity to subject and qualification became stronger in 3rd grader

    This research when it becomes second stage analyzed the change in consideration to the specialized subject and the qualification according to the school year progress. The results were summarized as follows: 1. Students think that the subject of nutrition, medicine, and coaching is important subjects of learning though progress the school year.  2.Student\u27s interest has changed into the subject with a low playability such as health and sociology. 3.Students think that it is important to acquire any qualification though progress the school year. 4.There is no change in the tendency that thinks the teacher\u27s license acquisition to be important. 5.An acquisition request of qualification related to health is increasing rapidly. 6.Students are aiming to acquire qualification selectively. This study was the first phase when an annual change in student needs is investigated, and it was considered targeted for 1 and 2 years. The registered 4 years and the tracking after graduation are indispensable to get effective data. I point out that a continuation study is necessity without ending by a fragmentary study

    A Clinical Trial Evaluating the Usefulness of Tailored Antimicrobial Prophylaxis Using Rectal-culture Screening Media Prior to Transrectal Prostate Biopsy: A Multicenter, Randomized Controlled Trial

    The aim of this report is to introduce an on-going, multicenter, randomized controlled trial to evaluate whether tailored antimicrobial prophylaxis guided by rectal culture screening prevents acute bacterial prostatitis following transrectal prostate biopsy (TRPB). Patients will be randomized into an intervention or non-intervention group; tazobactam-piperacillin or levofloxacin will be prophylactically administered according to the results of rectal culture prior to TRPB in the intervention group whereas levofloxacin will be routinely given in the non-intervention group. The primary endpoint is the occurrence rate of acute bacterial prostatitis after TRPB. Recruitment begins in April, 2021 and the target total sample size is 5,100 participants

    体組成と脈波伝播速度からみた思春期女性の生活習慣病危険因子の検討

    We reviewed what kind of factors became lifestyle-related diseases risk factors in girls at puberty. The purpose of this study was to gather data for the primary prevention of lifestyle-related diseases. Subjects were 57 basically healthy girls at the age of puberty,from seventh grade to twelfth grade. We measured body composition including bone density of the whole body using Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry. We used form PWV/ABI(Omron Colin Co.,Ltd.,Japan)for the measurement of Pulse Wave Velocity. It became clear that there was a danger of elevated baPWV values in girls whose percentage of body fat and soft tissue fat rate were low. On the other hand,it became clear that bone mineral density(BMD)was likely high in subjects whose percentage of body fat and soft tissue fat rate were high. It is thought that a higher-than-standard percent of body fat becomes an advantage for elevated bone density. From these results,it was concluded that lifestyle-related disease risk factors for girls at puberty with a high rate of body fat are low

    When I perform bone evaluation by supersonic wave measurement,I only evaluate the right foot without considering the subject’s laterality,or potential differences between right and left foot bone density. Puberty is the period during which bone density rises,and during which the influence of mechanical stress is considered great,and evaluation of the right foot has been considered sufficient to clarify this effect. From the viewpoint of general health and prevention of osteoporosis we must measure one’s bone density in puberty, raise the peak bone mass,and maintain it. The present experiment was performed to clarify what kind of influence laterality of foot and exercise habits had on the bone density of the right calcaneus. Exercise habits did not have much influence on the bone density rise if the right foot was non-dominant. However,a meaningful connection was recognized between exercise habits and bone density rise if the right foot was dominant. From these results,it was thought that the measurement of calcaneus bone density by a supersonic wave method in puberty is more effective if the dominant foot is used
