    Internet of things (iot): um cenário guiado por patentes industriais

    The Internet of Things (IoT) or Internet of Things is featured on the global stage and has provided the development of interesting applications of geo-referencing, identifying people, object tracking, security systems and process automation. These applications when appropriate the IoT technology amplify the potential of innovations in products and services, sometimes conditioning other meanings for man-machine interactions. The combination of IoT with Bio and Nanotechnology, electronic sensors (RFID and RSSF), smartphones and smart embedded systems, can motivate small businesses and startups to develop new technologies that heat the world economy. Thus, the exploratory research proposed in this study included a survey of requests for IoT patent and demonstrated that China and the United States are the largest depositors of patents and that investments in PD&I with the IoT technology are small in other countries mainly in Brazil. Theresults achieved also indicate that the IoT can be applied to governance and development projects of autonomous automation systems for control and monitoring of rational consumption of non renewable natural resources in smart cities, and thus provide innovative solutions to urban problems, creating new business opportunities that may offer a significant advantage for the consumer market when you can use this disruptive technology in industrial scale.A Internet of Things (IoT) ou Internet das Coisas é destaque no cenário global e tem proporcionado o desenvolvimento de interessantes aplicações de georreferenciamento, identificação de pessoas, rastreamento de objetos, sistemas de segurança e automação de processos. Essas aplicações quando se apropriam da tecnologia de IoT amplificam o potencial das inovações em produtos e serviços, as vezes condicionando outros significados para interações homem-máquina. A combinação da IoT com a Bio e Nanotecnologia, sensores eletrônicos (RFID e RSSF), smartphones e sistemas embarcados inteligentes, pode motivar as microempresas e Startups a desenvolverem novas tecnologias que aquecem a economia mundial. Sendo assim, a pesquisa exploratória proposta nesse estudo contou com uma prospecção de pedidos de patentes de IoT e demonstrou que a China e Estados Unidos são os maiores depositantes de patentes, e ainda que investimentos em PD&I com a tecnologia da IoT são pequenos nos demais países, principalmente no Brasil. Os resultados alcançados também indicam que a IoT pode ser aplicada em projetos de governança e desenvolvimento de sistemas de automação autônomos para controle e monitoramento do consumo racional de recursos naturais não renováveis em cidades inteligentes, e dessa forma prover soluções inovadoras para problemas urbanos, criando novas oportunidades de negócios que podem oferecer um diferencial significativo para o mercado consumidor quando for possível utilizar essa tecnologia disruptiva em escala industria

    Animated Pedagogical Agent in the Intelligent Virtual Teaching Environment

    This paper presents the evolution description and relevance of IVTE- Intelligent Virtual Teaching Environment project in terms of Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence in Education field. Furthermore, it describes the importance of Multi-agents modeling used in the IVTE software and also gives emphasis in the Cognitive Agent Model represented by an Animated Pedagogical Agent. The purpose of IVTE software is to educate children to preserve the environment. The IVTE software is implemented with Multi-agent (MAS) and Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) technology, which gives more adaptable information to the teaching process. The adaptable information is promoted by Tutor of ITS or, in other words, by Animated Pedagogical Agent. The Animated Pedagogical Agent monitors, guides and individualizes the learning process using student model and teaching strategies.
