Search for Scalar Leptoquarks with polarized protons (and neutrons) at HERA and future Machines
The effects of Scalar Leptoquarks in various channels have been analysed for
the HERA collider and also for an eventual new machine running at higher

Hypersonic Research Vehicle (HRV) real-time flight test support feasibility and requirements study. Part 2: Remote computation support for flight systems functions
The requirements are assessed for the use of remote computation to support HRV flight testing. First, remote computational requirements were developed to support functions that will eventually be performed onboard operational vehicles of this type. These functions which either cannot be performed onboard in the time frame of initial HRV flight test programs because the technology of airborne computers will not be sufficiently advanced to support the computational loads required, or it is not desirable to perform the functions onboard in the flight test program for other reasons. Second, remote computational support either required or highly desirable to conduct flight testing itself was addressed. The use is proposed of an Automated Flight Management System which is described in conceptual detail. Third, autonomous operations is discussed and finally, unmanned operations
Automated flight test management system
The Phase 1 development of an automated flight test management system (ATMS) as a component of a rapid prototyping flight research facility for artificial intelligence (AI) based flight concepts is discussed. The ATMS provides a flight engineer with a set of tools that assist in flight test planning, monitoring, and simulation. The system is also capable of controlling an aircraft during flight test by performing closed loop guidance functions, range management, and maneuver-quality monitoring. The ATMS is being used as a prototypical system to develop a flight research facility for AI based flight systems concepts at NASA Ames Dryden
Physical degrees of freedom in stabilized brane world models
We consider brane world models with interbrane separation stabilized by the
Goldberger-Wise scalar field. For arbitrary background, or vacuum
configurations of the gravitational and scalar fields in such models, we
construct the second variation Lagrangian, study its gauge invariance, find the
corresponding equations of motion and decouple them in a suitable gauge. We
also derive an effective four-dimensional Lagrangian for such models, which
describes the massless graviton, a tower of massive gravitons and a tower of
massive scalars. It is shown that for a special choice of the background
solution the masses of the graviton excitations may be of the order of a few
TeV, the radion mass of the order of 100 GeV, the inverse size of the extra
dimension being tens of GeV. In this case the coupling of the radion to matter
on the negative tension brane is approximately the same as in the unstabilized
model with the same values of the fundamental five-dimensional energy scale and

Lessons and Prospects from the pMSSM after LHC Run I: Neutralino LSP
We study SUSY signatures at the 7, 8 and 14 TeV LHC employing the
19-parameter, R-Parity conserving p(henomenological)MSSM, in the scenario with
a neutralino LSP. Our results were obtained via a fast Monte Carlo simulation
of the ATLAS SUSY analysis suite. The flexibility of this framework allows us
to study a wide variety of SUSY phenomena simultaneously and to probe for weak
spots in existing SUSY search analyses. We determine the ranges of the
sparticle masses that are either disfavored or allowed after the searches with
the 7 and 8 TeV data sets are combined. We find that natural SUSY models with
light squarks and gluinos remain viable. We extrapolate to 14 TeV with both 300
fb and 3 ab of integrated luminosity and determine the expected
sensitivity of the jets + MET and stop searches to the pMSSM parameter space.
We find that the high-luminosity LHC will be powerful in probing SUSY with
neutralino LSPs and can provide a more definitive statement on the existence of

Higgs Properties in the Fourth Generation MSSM: Boosted Signals Over the 3G Plan
The generalization of the MSSM to the case of four chiral fermion generations
(4GMSSM) can lead to significant changes in the phenomenology of the otherwise
familiar Higgs sector. In most of the 3GMSSM parameter space, the lighter
CP-even is GeV and mostly Standard Model-like while
are all relatively heavy. Furthermore, the ratio of Higgs vevs,
, is relatively unconstrained. In contrast to this, in the 4GMSSM,
heavy fourth generation fermion loops drive the masses of to large
values while the CP-odd boson, , can remain relatively light and is restricted to the range 1/2 \lsim \tan \beta \lsim 2 due to
perturbativity requirements on Yukawa couplings. We explore this scenario in
some detail, concentrating on the collider signatures of the light CP-odd Higgs
at both the Tevatron and LHC. We find that while may lead to a
potential signal in the channel at the LHC, may first be
observed in the channel due to a highly loop-enhanced cross
section that can be more than an order of magnitude greater than that of a SM
Higgs for masses of and . We find that the
CP-even states are highly mixed and can have atypical branching
fractions. Precision electroweak constraints, particularly for the light
