    Correlation effects in the electronic structure of the Ni-based superconducting KNi2S2

    The LDA plus Gutzwiller variational method is used to investigate the groundstate physical properties of the newly discovered superconducting KNi2S2. Five Ni-3d Wannier-orbital basis are constructed by the density-functional theory, to combine with local Coulomb interaction to describe the normal state electronic structure of Ni-based superconductor. The band structure and the mass enhanced are studied based on a multiorbital Hubbard model by using Gutzwiller approximation method. Our results indicate that the correlation effects lead to the mass enhancement of KNi2S2. Different from the band structure calculated from the LDA results, there are three energy bands across the Fermi level along the X-Z line due to the existence of the correlation effects, which induces a very complicated Fermi surface along the X-Z line. We have also investigated the variation of the quasi-particle weight factor with the hole or electron doping and found that the mass enhancement character has been maintained with the doping.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figure

    Effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge extract on liver cirrhosis in rats

    Purpose: To explore the effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.extract(SMBE) on diethylnitrosamine(DEN)- induced liver cirrhosis in rats.Methods: SMBE was obtained by extracting dried Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. in water. Liver cirrhosis was induced in Wistar rats by injecting diethylnitrosamine in abdominal cavity once a week for 8 weeks. Concurrently, rats received either daily oral SMBE (SMBE group) or saline (control group). Clinical biochemical assessments, oxidative stress tests (malondialdehyde [MDA], superoxide dismutase [SOD]) were performed at 4 and 8 weeks after beginning DEN.Results: Compared to the control group, both plasma alanine transaminase (ALT, 245.6 ± 8.5 U/L) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST, 205.7 ± 5.1 U/L) were significantly lower in SMBE group after 8 weeks (p < 0.01 for both ALT and AST). SMBE group exhibited significantly lower MDA (0.41 ± 0.04 μmol/L) levels and higher SOD(0.53 ± 0.05 U/mg protein) activity than control at 8 weeks after commencing DEN (p < 0.01 for both MDA and SOD).Conclusion: SMBE has significant ameliorative effect on DEN-induced liver cirrhosis in rats.     Revisiting the Ω(2012)\Omega(2012) as a hadronic molecule and its strong decays

    Recently, the Belle collaboration measured the ratios of the branching fractions of the newly observed Ω(2012)\Omega(2012) excited state. They did not observe significant signals for the Ω(2012)→KˉΞ∗(1530)→KˉπΞ\Omega(2012) \to \bar{K} \Xi^*(1530) \to \bar{K} \pi \Xi decay, and reported an upper limit for the ratio of the three body decay to the two body decay mode of Ω(2012)→KˉΞ\Omega(2012) \to \bar{K} \Xi. In this work, we revisit the newly observed Ω(2012)\Omega(2012) from the molecular perspective where this resonance appears to be a dynamically generated state with spin-parity 3/2−3/2^- from the coupled channels interactions of the KˉΞ∗(1530)\bar{K} \Xi^*(1530) and ηΩ\eta \Omega in ss-wave and KˉΞ\bar{K} \Xi in dd-wave. With the model parameters for the dd-wave interaction, we show that the ratio of these decay fractions reported recently by the Belle collaboration can be easily accommodated.Comment: Published version.     A QoS-Based Services Selected Method in Service-Oriented Architectures Using Ant Colony System - A Case Study of Airflights

    Semantic web is becoming more and more popular these days, and it’s an opportune moment to look at the field’s current state and future opportunities. However, most researchers focus on only one single service recommend from semantic web inference. In some situations, the Multi-Services which are combined many complex services from various service providers are better than single service. The designed Multi-Services Semantic Search System (MS4), which provides the cooperation web-based platform for all related mobile users and service providers, could strengthen the ability of Multi-Services suggestion. In this research, MS4 chooses the adaptable airflight as a case study. MS4 is a five-components system composed of the Mobile Users (MUs), UDDI Registries (UDDIRs), Service Providers (SPs), Semantic Web Services Server (SWSS), and Database Server (DS). Using SOA, OWL-S to build semantic web environment to inference user’s requirements and search various web services which are published in UDDI through the communication networks include internet and 3G/GPRS/GSM mobile networks. In this airline case, we propose the Adaptive Airflights Inference Module (AAIM) combined QoS-Based Services Selected Method (QBSSM) using Ant Colony System (ACS) to reference the adaptable airflights to MUs
