Theoretical and experimental research summaries on suboptimal self-adaptive binary communication system
An introduction to quantitative remote sensing
The quantitative approach to remote sensing is discussed along with the analysis of remote sensing data. Emphasis is placed on the application of pattern recognition in numerically oriented remote sensing systems. A common background and orientation for users of the LARS computer software system is provided
Digital Communication Systems Subject to Frequency Selective Fading
Frequency selective fading effects on binary digital communication system
Threshold Study of Phase Lock Loop Systems Interim Technical Report
Threshold studies of phase lock loop systems - effect of phase comparator on overall performance and threshold phenomen
Disseminating technological information on remote sensing to potential users
The Laboratory for Applications of Remote Sensing developed materials and programs which range from short tutorial brochures to post-doctoral research programs which may span several years. To organize both the content and the instructional techniques, a matrix of instructional materials was conceptualized. Each row in the matrix represents a subject area in remote sensing and each column in the matrix represents a different type media or instructional strategy
Analog communication over selective fading channels Interim technical report
Demodulators for analog communication over slowly time varying, frequency selective fading channel
A case study using LARSYS for analysis of LANDSAT data
Techniques are described for analysis of LANDSAT multispectral using the LARSYS data processing system
Matrix of educational and training materials in remote sensing
Remote sensing educational and training materials developed by LARS have been organized in a matrix format. Each row in the matrix represents a subject area in remote sensing and the columns represent different types of instructional materials. This format has proved to be useful for displaying in a concise manner the subject matter content, prerequisite requirements and technical depth of each instructional module in the matrix. A general description of the matrix is followed by three examples designed to illustrate how the matrix can be used to synthesize training programs tailored to meet the needs of individual students. A detailed description of each of the modules in the matrix is contained in a catalog section
Bringing remote sensing technology to the user community
The procedures and services available for educating and training potential users of remote sensing technology are discussed along with approaches for achieving an in-house capability for the analysis of remotely sensed data using numerical techniques based on pattern recognition principles. Cost estimates are provided where appropriate
