Non-classical non-Gaussian state of a mechanical resonator via selectively incoherent damping in three-mode optomechanical systems
We theoretically propose a scheme for the generation of a non-classical
single-mode motional state of a mechanical resonator (MR) in the three-mode
optomechanical systems, in which two optical modes of the cavities are linearly
coupled to each other and one mechanical mode of the MR is optomechanically
coupled to the two optical modes with the same coupling strength
simultaneously. One cavity is driven by a coherent laser light. By properly
tuning the frequency of the weak driving field, we obtain engineered
Liouvillian superoperator via engineering the selective interaction Hamiltonian
confined to the Fock subspaces. In this case, the motional state of the MR can
be prepared into a non-Gaussian state, which possesses the sub-Poisson
statistics although its Wigner function is positive.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure
The dynamic dipole polarizabilities of the Li atom and the Be+ ion
The dynamic dipole polarizabilities for the Li atom and the Be+ ion in the 2s
and 2p states are calculated using the variational method with a Hylleraas
basis. The present polarizabilities represent the definitive values in the
non-relativistic limit. Corrections due to relativistic effects are also
estimated. Analytic representations of the polarizabilities for frequency
ranges encompassing the n=3 excitations are presented. The recommended
polarizabilities for ^7Li and ^9Be+ were 164.11 \pm 0.03 a.u. and 24.489 \pm
0.004 a.u.
Discrete Subspace Multiwindow Gabor Frames and Their Duals
This paper addresses discrete subspace multiwindow Gabor analysis. Such a scenario can model many practical signals and has potential applications in signal processing. In this paper, using a suitable Zak transform matrix we characterize discrete subspace mixed multi-window Gabor frames (Riesz bases and orthonormal bases) and their duals with Gabor structure. From this characterization, we can easily obtain frames by designing Zak transform matrices. In particular, for usual multi-window Gabor frames (i.e., all windows have the same time-frequency shifts), we characterize the uniqueness of Gabor dual of type I (type II) and also give a class of examples of Gabor frames and an explicit expression of their Gabor duals of type I (type II)
