This year we are working to ensure that using ORCID means researchers have less data entry effort interacting with research information systems. At the end of May, we had a kickoff event for publishing organizations and service providers at the annual Society for Scholarly Publishing meeting to further this work. New Affiliation Types for ORCID 3.0 API and UI - public proposal

ORCID currently supports education and employment affiliation types and encourages authoritative sources to populate them. However, a number of our members have relationships with researchers that fall outside of these two categories and are therefore unable to make affiliation assertions. D4.2: Workflow for interoperability

<p>We analyze the different persistent identifiers (PIDs) and the potential interoperability between them. We propose different approach to the interoperability between DataCite DOIs and ORCID IDs as well as between other PIDs. We present claim tools and data connections for different types of research objects.</p
