    Upaya Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Mata Pelajaran Akuntansi dengan Pendekatan Kooperatif Tipe Peer Assessment

    The purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze increase student's achievement in accounting at class XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar 2012/2013 school year after implementing by using cooperative approach type of Peer Assessment method. This research is a class action using the cycle strategy. The subjectof this research is a class XI student IS 4 SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar which totaled 36 students. This research was carried out with collaboration between researchers, classroom teachers and involve student participation. Technique of data collecting is done by testing, observation, documentation, and interviews. The research process was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: (1) plannning action, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation and interpretation, and (4) analysis and reflection. Each cycle carried out in 3 meetings, allocation of time of each meeting of 4 x 45 minutes. Based on research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is increase in accounting student's learning outcomes through the use of Peer Assessment. This is reflected by several indicators as follows: (1) cooperation of students in the group during the discussion on the first cycle of 55.56% or 20 students increase to 83.34% or 30 students in the second cycle, (2) activity of students expressed their opinions in the first cycle of 58.34% or 21 students increase to 86.12% or 31 students in the second cycle, (3) active students ask questions in a discussion group on the first cycle of 50.00% or 18 students increase to 80.56% or 29 students in the second cycle, and (4) the seriousness of students work on the problems in group discussions by 91.67% or 33 students in the first cycle and the second cycle increase to 94.45% or 34 students
