INCREASING ABILITY READING THE UNDERSTANDING OF STUDENTS IN CLASS V SD KRANJINGAN 05 JEMBER THROUGH COOPERATIVE MODEL TYPE TPS

Based on preliminary observations carried out by researchers at SD Kranjingan 05 Jember, it shows that the learning process of reading is still done individually. Weaknesses in individual learning, can be overcome by using a type of cooperative learning model. Improving the process and reading comprehension results are the main objectives of this research. The process of reading comprehension includes aspects of planning and implementation. While reading comprehension results, refer to the evaluation of learning. The method used in this study is the classroom action research method. The target in this research is fifth grade elementary school students. Kranjingan 05 Jember, which is divided into 15 couples. The study was conducted in two cycles. The results of the study using the type of TPS cooperative learning model showed that students' reading comprehension skills improved with the acquisition of test scores obtained by students in each group in the first cycle 69.6% and the second cycle 80.8%. This shows that in the second cycle the test score increased and had reached the target of the KKM of 75%

The Local Wisdom of ‘Malabot Tumbe’: A Community Ritual in Banggai District

Abstrak Kearifan lokal adalah bagian dari budaya suatu masyarakat yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Molabot Tumpe merupakan tradisi penjemputan telur pertama burung maleo dari masyarakat adat Batui ke keraton Banggai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam ritual “Molabot Tumbe” Masyarakat Kabupaten Banggai. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat beberapa nilai kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam ritual tersebut, diantaranya: kearifan lokal kesejahteraan yang terdiri atas disiplin, gotong royong, pelestarian dan kreativitas budaya dan peduli lingkungan. Kemudian, terdapat pula nilai kearifan lokal kedamaian yang terdiri atas kesetiakawanan sosial, kerukunan dan penyelesaian konflik, komitmen dan pikiran positif. Molabot Tumpe is a tradition of picking up the first maleo eggs from the Batui people to the Banggai palace. This study aims to reveal the values ​​of local wisdom in the "Molabot Tumbe" ritual of the Banggai Regency community. The method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Based on the results of the study, there are several values ​​of local wisdom contained in the ritual, including: local wisdom of welfare which consists of discipline, mutual cooperation, preservation and cultural creativity and care for the environment. Then, there is also the value of local wisdom of peace which consists of social solidarity, harmony and conflict resolution, commitment and positive thoughts.
