Natural feeding of johns snapper (Lutjanus johnii) in the Persian Gulf (Hormuzgan Province waters) Iran
Since a little information is available in relation with feeding of Lutjanus johni, this study was conducted to determine its food diversity. 613 specimens were studied from May 1996 to July 1997 and their dietary regim was defined. In this study, capacity vacuous index (CV) and food preference (Fp) calculated for this fish. The study of stomachs showed that stomach of 44 fish were full, 27 semifull and 524 were empty. CV was obtained 88.4 and Fp for crustacean (55.6), fishes (44.3) and molusca (1.4). In particularly study, Fp calculated for crab (54.0), squilla (23.2), shrimp (20.2) and lobster (2.5). Ultimately, in this survey was found that this fish possibly is fast feeder and crustacean to be omposed their main food. Among crustacean, crab is main food
Bursting Smoke as an Infrared Countermeasure
This paper describes the experimental setup for the evaluation of bursting smoke for anti-infrared role using SR-5000 spectroradiometer and a source of IR radiation (8-13 micrometer) using cadmium-mercury-telluride (CMI) detector cooled by liquid nitrogen. The particle size and shape of the powders used in the bursting smokes were determined microscopically using Carl Zeiss Jena Neophot- 21. Highest attenuation of 97 -lOO percent was produced for about 12 s using a mixture of bronze flakes and chaff, and for about 8 s using a mixture of bronze copper lined flakes, bronze flakes and chaff
A Survey on Feature-Sentiment Classification Techniques
As internet growing exponentially, the online purchase is proportionally increasing its all around the world. The e-commerce and product selling websites are providing a rich variety of product to be sold. As the quality of product has much impact on its sell, the e-commerce websites tends to take public opinion on the product in terms of consumers feedback, we call it as reviews. These reviews provide much knowledge about the product as the consumers are motivated to write their reviews about the product, more precisely saying, consumer writes their opinion about product’s specifications or product’s features. These public opinions can then be analyzed by the consumers and vendor to make the required manufacturing changes to the product to increase its quality. The Feature Mining along with Sentiment Analysis techniques can be applied to achieve product’s feature and public opinion on these features. Here in this paper we are motivated by the scenario as mentioned above. We had a survey on the different techniques that can be used to mine products feature and classifying those feature along with the sentiment classification on the determined features. The public sentiments can be classified as negative, positive and neutral sentiments. Data Mining provides a rich set of Machine Learning Algorithms which in turn can be used as Sentiment Classifier. After analyzing feature-sentiment techniques, we then studied the feature classification by using its overall sentiment and influence on the product sell
Sentiment Analysis over Online Product Reviews: A Survey
Prior to the invention of the internet while purchasing any product people used to ask the opinions to his family, friends for particular product. but now a days as the swift increase of usage of the internet, more users are motivated to write their feelings about particulars in the form of comments on different sites like Facebook, twitter, online shopping sites, blogs, etc. this comments are nothing but the sentiments of the users this may be positive, negative or neutral. There are various techniques used for summarizing the customer comments like Data mining, Text clssification, Retrieval of informtaion, and summarizing the text. People tend to write their reviews over a product over different sites. Most of the reviews are critical to conclude so it generates difficulty for usefulness of information. If anyone want to know the impact of the particular post/product then it becomes difficult to read all the comments and to classify it. Sentiment analysis is the ongoing research field in the data mining, Sentiment analysis is also referred as opinion mining. This field mainly deals with classifying the sentiments among different types of comments that are written by various users. This paper is about to discuss different techniques, challenges and applications related to sentiment analysis
Haptic-Guided Shared Control Grasping for Collision-Free Manipulation
We propose a haptic-guided shared control system that provides an operator with force cues during reach-to-grasp phase of tele-manipulation. The force cues inform the operator of grasping configuration which allows collision-free autonomous post-grasp movements. Previous studies showed haptic guided shared control significantly reduces the complexities of the teleoperation. We propose two architectures of shared control in which the operator is informed about (1) the local gradient of the collision cost, and (2) the grasping configuration suitable for collision-free movements of an aimed pick-and-place task. We demonstrate the efficiency of our proposed shared control systems by a series of experiments with Franka Emika robot. Our experimental results illustrate our shared control systems successfully inform the operator of predicted collisions between the robot and an obstacle in the robot's workspace. We learned that informing the operator of the global information about the grasping configuration associated with minimum collision cost of post-grasp movements results in a reach-to-grasp time much shorter than the case in which the operator is informed about the local-gradient information of the collision cost
Selecting sites to prove the concept of IAR4D in the Lake Kivu Pilot Learning Site
Selecting sites is an essential step in enabling the assessment of the impact of Integrated
Agricultural Research for Development (IAR4D) in the Lake Kivu Pilot Learning Site. This paper
reports on the process of identifying distinct administrative territories (sites) in which to establish
innovation platforms and to monitor similar communities that are experiencing alternative
agricultural research for development interventions. We show how the research design for the Sub-
Saharan Africa Challenge Programme (SSACP) has been modified to take into account the key
conditioning factors of the LKPLS without relinquishing robustness. A key change is the explicit
incorporation of accessibility to multiple markets. Candidate sites were stratified according to the
national political context, followed by good and poor accessibility to markets and finally according
to security considerations and agro-ecology. Randomisation was carried out at all levels, although
the need for paired counterfactual sites required the diagnosis of conditioning factors at the site
level. Potential sites were characterised in terms of existing or recent agricultural research
initiatives, as well as local factors that would have a direct effect on the success of interventions
seeking to improve productivity, ameliorate the degradation of natural resources and enhance
incomes through better links to markets. Fourteen sites were selected during the initial phase, and a
further ten sites were added one year afterwards due to the need for more innovation platforms to
test IAR4D. The site selection was successful in pairing action and counterfactual sites in terms of
the baseline socioeconomic conditions of farming households. The unavoidable proximity of action
and counterfactual sites, however, allows the possibility of spill-over effects and could reduce the
measurable impact of IAR4D
Dietary flavonoids: Nano delivery and nanoparticles for cancer therapy
Application of nanotechnologies to cancer therapy might increase solubility and/or bioavailability of bioactive compounds of natural or synthetic origin and offers other potential benefits in cancer therapy, including selective targeting. In the present review we aim to evaluate in vivo studies on the anticancer activity of nanoparticles (NPs) obtained from food-derived flavonoids. From a systematic search a total of 60 studies were identified. Most of the studies involved the flavanol epigallocatechin-3-O-gallate and the flavonol quercetin, in both delivery and co-delivery (with anti-cancer drugs) systems. Moreover, some studies investigated the effects of other flavonoids, such as anthocyanins aglycones anthocyanidins, flavanones, flavones and isoflavonoids. NPs inhibited tumor growth in both xenograft and chemical-induced animal models of cancerogenesis. Encapsulation improved bioavailability and/or reduced toxicity of both flavonoids and/or co-delivered drugs, such as doxorubicin, docetaxel, paclitaxel, honokiol and vincristine. Moreover, flavonoids have been successfully applied in molecular targeted nanosystems. Selectivity for cancer cells involves pH- and/or reactive oxyge
