    Unveiling the nucleon tensor charge at Jefferson Lab: A study of the SoLID case

    Future experiments at the Jefferson Lab 12 GeV upgrade, in particular, the Solenoidal Large Intensity Device (SoLID), aim at a very precise data set in the region where the partonic structure of the nucleon is dominated by the valence quarks. One of the main goals is to constrain the quark transversity distributions. We apply recent theoretical advances of the global QCD extraction of the transversity distributions to study the impact of future experimental data from the SoLID experiments. Especially, we develop a simple strategy based on the Hessian matrix analysis that allows one to estimate the uncertainties of the transversity quark distributions and their tensor charges extracted from SoLID data simulation. We find that the SoLID measurements with the proton and the effective neutron targets can improve the precision of the u- and d-quark transversity distributions up to one order of magnitude in the range 0.05 < x < 0.6.Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures, published on Physics Letters

    Anti-aging effect of hydrocolloid on tartary buckwheat parfaith

    The effects of mono-hydrophilic colloid(xanthan gum,guar gum,sodium alginate,hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and carrageenan) on the anti-aging of tartary buckwheat parfait were studied with sensory evaluation and hardness as indexes,and three kinds of hydrophilic colloid with better anti-aging effect were screened out.Based on this,the optimal anti-aging agent of tartary buckwheat parfait was determined by response surface analysis method.The results showed that the optimal anti-aging agent formula was 0.13%of xanthan gum,0.17% of sodium alginate and 0.24% of carrageenan(calculated bytotal slurryweight).The storage time of tartary buckwheat parfait with compound hydrophilic colloids was prolonged by 2 times(14 days)of that without hydrocolloid the at-4 ℃

    The Influence of Secondary Extrusion Process on The Quality of Instant Rice Noodle

    In order to study the influence of the two-stage extrusion process on the quality of instant rice noodle, the key parameters of the two-stage extrusion process including: the first and second stage extruder barrel temperature, the first and second stage extruder screw speed, feeding speed, and the template hole diameter were taken as the single factor research objects, and the single factor experiment and response surface experiment were used to optimize them. The results show that the optimization of extrusion parameters can improve the quality of instant rice noodle in a certain range. The final optimization of the two-stage extrusion process parameters are as follows: the first stage extruder barrel temperature was 173 ℃,the second stage extruder barrel temperature was 39 ℃, the first stage extruder screw speed was 30 Hz, the second stage extruder screw speed was 20 Hz, the feeding speed was 11.8hz, and the template aperture was 0.7 mm. Under this condition, the instant rice noodle product is made with Strong fragrance and good comprehensive quality which can reach market product quality. This study can provide a reference for the continuous production of instant rice noodle

This paper summarizes the research status of rice traceability technology from two aspects including the origin diagnosis technology (such as: physical index fingerprint technology, stable isotope technology, multi-element analysis technology, near-infrared spectroscopy technology) and the traceability system technology (such as: physical identification technology, information coding technology, information transmission technology). Based on this analysis, the development trend of rice traceability system was analyzed, and new technologies will continue to be applied to the traceability system

    Pure curcumin decreases the expression of WT1 by upregulation of miR-15a and miR-16-1 in leukemic cells

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Pure curcumin has been reported to down-regulate the expression of WT1 in leukemic cells. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the down-regulation of WT1 by curcumin is not completely delineated. The purpose of this present study is to identify a new miRNA-mediated mechanism which plays an important role in the anti-proliferation effects of curcumin in leukemic cells.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>K562 and HL-60 cells were treated with different concentrations of curcumin for 24 and 48 hours, the level of miR-15a/16-1 and WT1 were detected by qRT-PCR and Western blotting. WT1 expression and cell proliferation were detected by Western blotting and CCK-8, after curcumin treated-K562 and HL-60 cells were transfected with anti-miR-15a/16-1 oligonucleotides.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>We found that pure curcumin upregulated the expression of miR-15a/16-1 and downregulated the expression of WT1 in leukemic cells and primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells. Overexpression of miR-15a/16-1 deduced the protein level of WT1 in leukemic cells, but downregulation of WT1 by siRNA-WT1 could not increase the expression of miR-15a/16-1 in leukemic cells. These results reveal that curcumin induced-upregulation of miR-15a/16-1 is an early event upstream to downregulation of WT1. Furthermore, anti-miR-15a/16-1 oligonucleotides (AMO) partly reversed the downregulation of WT1 induced by pure curcumin in leukemic cells and AMO promoted the growth of curcumin treated-K562 and HL-60 cells.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Thus, these data suggest for the first time that pure curcumin downregulated the expression of WT1 partly by upregulating the expression of miR-15a/16-1 in leukemic cells. miR-15a/16-1 mediated WT1 downregulation plays an important role in the anti-proliferation effect of curcumin in leukemic cells.</p

    Dual-comb spectroscopy over 100km open-air path

    Satellite-based greenhouse gases (GHG) sensing technologies play a critical role in the study of global carbon emissions and climate change. However, none of the existing satellite-based GHG sensing technologies can achieve the measurement of broad bandwidth, high temporal-spatial resolution, and high sensitivity at the same time. Recently, dual-comb spectroscopy (DCS) has been proposed as a superior candidate technology for GHG sensing because it can measure broadband spectra with high temporal-spatial resolution and high sensitivity. The main barrier to DCS's display on satellites is its short measurement distance in open air achieved thus far. Prior research has not been able to implement DCS over 20 km of open-air path. Here, by developing a bistatic setup using time-frequency dissemination and high-power optical frequency combs, we have implemented DCS over a 113 km turbulent horizontal open-air path. Our experiment successfully measured GHG with 7 nm spectral bandwidth and a 10 kHz frequency and achieved a CO2 sensing precision of <2 ppm in 5 minutes and <0.6 ppm in 36 minutes.
