Entropy driven key-lock assembly

The effective interaction between a sphere with an open cavity (lock) and a spherical macroparticle (key), both immersed in a hard sphere fluid, is studied by means of Monte Carlo simulations. As a result, a 2d map of the key-lock effective interaction potential is constructed, which leads to the proposal of a self-assembling mechanism: there exists trajectories through which the key-lock pair could assemble avoiding trespassing potential barriers. Hence, solely the entropic contribution can induce their self-assembling even in the absence of attractive forces. This study points out the solvent contribution within the underlying mechanisms of substrate-protein assembly/disassembly processes, which are important steps of the enzyme catalysis and protein mediated transport

Spanish teacher’s training in the refugee camps of Tindouf (Algeria) and the Cervantes Institute

Resumen basado en el de la publicaciónTítulo, resumen y palabras clave también en inglésEstudio dedicado a un tema que apenas se ha investigado: la formación del profesorado de español en los campamentos de refugiados saharauis de Tinduf. Se comienza con un breve repaso histórico que se subdivide en las siguientes dos fases: 2008-2010 y 2010-2011. Posteriormente, se llega al objetivo general de la investigación que consiste en solicitar la presencia del Instituto Cervantes en la hamada de Tinduf. Para ello, primero se informa sobre la formación del profesorado que oferta el Instituto Cervantes en el mundo y, a continuación, se presentan las expectativas de los profesores de español en los campamentos de refugiados saharauis de Tinduf respecto al Instituto Cervantes, según los datos de la investigación.ES
