Students' perception of the application of nudges
In this research it was examined how students of two private institutions perceive the nudges. Although the nudge theory has gained considerable popularity in international research, as it is reflected on recent articles in international magazines, it does not count on the recognition or implementation in a local context. In that way, with the developed research, knowledge is generated with regard to the population object of study and it is an important test about the possible implementations of deliberative and non-deliberative nudges in public policies. The methodology used is a quantitative approach, descriptive method, snowball probabilistic sample technique and the test was carried out through chi square to determine gender perception. The results gotten showed that students are receptive to the use of nudge tool in their daily contexts. In conclusion, there is acceptance of the use of deliberative nudges and there is a little distrust of non-deliberative nudges, likewise, it is exposed that nowadays the nudge tool is discussed in top level international universities; nevertheless, in the Latin American context, its formulation is minimal
Environmental performance evaluation under a green supply chain approach
Among the environmental management approaches, the concept of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) has become one of the most important in recent years. The GSCM approach addresses all processes and activities that make up the supply chain echelons (procurement, manufacturing and delivery), also including design, purchasing, marketing and reverse logistics. Although the literature review identified the existence of a variety of environmental performance indicators framed the Pressure-State-Response approach, indicators applied under the GSCM approach were not found. Therefore, this paper presents a methodology for the construction of a multicriteria indicator to measure the environmental performance under the GSCM approach, based on 8 processes and 32 activities identified from the literature review. The indicator was applied in a group of 14 companies in the coffee region of Colombia. The results indicate a heterogeneous performance among the companies and a significant lag in some of the analyzed processes
Given the necessity to evaluate the current state of green management practices in companies, the GSCM approach is defined through eight processes and 32 activities. The processes are: Green Design, Green Purchasing, Green Manufacturing, Green Distribution, Green Marketing, Green Human Resource Management, Green Innovation and Reverse Logistics. In the case of the activities, they give assets to implement the processes. In order to evaluate the application of the Green Practices in the manufacturing of Caldas department, a Corporate Environmental Performance Indicator was proposed and applied to 14 manufacturing companies. The evaluation shows that the process of Green Design, Green purchasing, Green Manufacturing and Reverse Logistics are widely implemented, while the Green Distribution, Green Marketing and Green Human Resource Management are in an early stage of implementation. Some activities were identified to be a trend in the studied manufacturing sector, such as the related with the design of products that take less energy during their use, the implementation of technologies aimed to reduce energy consumption and waste generation; the minimizing in the use of substances in the production and implementation of programs for the encouragement of the providers participation in the environmental management practices of the company. Finally, it was found that there is a significant effect between the processes of Green Distribution, Green Innovation, Green Marketing, Reverse Logistics, Green Purchasing and Green ManufacturingMaestrÃ
