The research uses descriptive methods in the form of qualitative and anthropological approaches. The source of the data in this research is Mr. Bani Suhendra, Mr. Petrus, and Mrs. Mini who knows the Ajat Temuai Datai Dance as well as a traditional figure. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The technique of testing the validity of the data is source triangulation. The results of this study are 1) The function of the Ajat Temuai Datai dance as a ceremony / ritual seen from the implementation process, this dance is performed during the welcoming process and there are several offerings that need to be prepared for the performance process such as preparing pork, chicken, grilled lemang, chicken eggs , palm wine, yellow rice (raw), and cooked rice. 2) The function of the Ajat Temuai Datai dance as a public performance aims to enliven or celebrate event such as welcoming important guests and the Gawai Dayak party.     This research is motivated by the researcher's concern that the Tari Jepin Anyam Tali Selampik in Desa Semuntai is experiencing extinction in the future, did not close the possibility that it will be disappear. Therefore, to accompanying the establishment of the motivation of the researcher to carry out revitalization in order to revive the Tari Japin Anyam Tali Selampik among Desa Semuntai community. This revitalization efforts was pursued by carrying out training and documentation in writing, pictures and videos format. The method in this research is a descriptive method in the form of qualitative research and an ethnochoreological approach. The data collection thechnique in the forms are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The thechnique of testing the validity of the data used is the prolongation of observations and triangulation of sources. The results of this research is to examine the form of presentation of the Tari Jepin Anyam Tali Selampik in the process of forming the training, then make a dance performance by presenting the Tari Jepin Anyam Tali Selampik again using accompaniment music and dance costumes in Desa Semuntai as well as accurate documentatio

    This study was followed by the interest of researchers during their work in the art world who discovered several events, resulting in a lack of community knowledge even local educators and artists related to this dance. The uniqueness of a dancer who looks like a spider making a place to live or a spider's nest that becomes a difference with other strap claspings is also an attraction. Therefore researchers conducted motion-related research from this Laba-laba Jepin Dance so that it could be documented in the form of writing, pictures, as well as videos. On this study used descriptive research methods that took the form of qualitative research with a choreographic approach. Techniques in data collection are observation, interview, and documentation. Based on the results of this study it is therefore concluded that in analyzing shapes, techniques, and motion styles it can produce motion forms containing choreography principles with its own techniques and styles. Motion becomes the most important thing in a dance, because motion is the main element that contains space, time, and calmness. A slightly difficult technique requires mastery of motion and thus obtaining perfect motion. The motion and the lacing of the binding pattern become distinctive features in this dance

    BENTUK PENYAJIAN TARI RADDAT APE NANG DITUMBOK DI KABUPATEN SAMBAS KALIMANTAN BARAT

    This study aims to describe the form presentation of the Raddat Ape Nang Ditumbok Dance in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The problem of this research is related to the elements of the presentation form of the Raddat Ape Nang Ditumbok Dance. This research uses qualitative approach. The authors used descriptive method to analyse the cheography of the Raddat Ape Nang Ditumbok Dance. The authors involved two informants in the process of interview. The authors also used observation dan document analysis in this study. Based on the interview, observation and document analysis, the authors concluded that the Raddat Ape Nang Ditumbok dance consists of 6 to 12 female players. This dance comprises 5 movements, namely “menumbuk padi”, “menampi padi”, “timang burung”, “nyiur melambai”, and “sedih bahagia”. The floor pattern in this dance uses horizontal, triangular, and zig-zag floor patterns. The musical instruments used in the the Raddat Ape Nang Ditumbok Dance are tambourines, long drums (kedumbak), tahar, and rumba. The dance is accompanied with song. The dancers use realistic make-up, the clothes used are brackets, tapeh sarong, bun, lotus, and head accessories such as rocking flowers and earrings. The venue used must be a proscenium stage and an open field

    ABSTRAKTari Ngeruai Kenemiak memiliki keunikan tersendiri yaitu terdapatpenggunaan alat musik Gong sebagai properti tarinya. Gong ini dimainkan selama pertunjukan tari berlangsung. Adapun cara memainkannya dengan dipegang, diayunkan ke atas dan bawah, diinjak, dan diduduki. Dengan menggunakan teori estetika paradoks oleh Jakob Sumarjo, penelitian ini akan dianalisis berdasarkan bentuk properti, cara penggunaannya dalam upacara maupun tari Ngeruai Kenemiak. Metode yangdigunakan adalah deskriptif dan bentuk penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Data dianalisis melalui pendekatan semiotik. Teknik yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi danstudi pustaka. Melalui tari Ngeruai Kenemiak tergambar jelas bahwa tari ini mendapat inspirasi dari prosesiadat Ngeruai Kenemiak yang merupakan upacara kelahiran bayi suku Dayak Kantu’. Gong yang setelah dianalisis menggunakan pola dua menggunakan estetika paradoks merupakan representasi dari dunia, siklus kehidupan, serta peran manusia di dalamnya sangat terikat oleh hungungan antar sesama manusia, alam sekitarnya dan juga Petara atau Tuhan.ABSTRACTThis research is motivated by Ngeruai Kenemiak dance which has its own uniqueness, namely the use of Gongmusical instruments as dance properties. This gong is played during the dance performance. As for how to playit, it is to be held, swinging up and down, being stepped on, and being occupied. Using the paradoxical aesthetic theory by Jakob Sumarjo, this research will be analyzed based on the shape of the property, the way it is used in ceremonies and Ngeruai Kenemiak dance. The method used is descriptive and the form of this research is qualitative. The data are analyzed through a semiotic approach. The techniques carried out in this study are observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies. Through the Ngeruai Kenemiak dance, it is clearly illustrated that this dance draws inspiration from the traditional procession of Ngeruai Kenemiak whichis the birth ceremony of the baby of the Dayak Kantu tribe'. Gong, which after analysis using pattern two usingparadoxical aesthetics, is a representation of the world, the cycle of life, and the role of humans in it is very much bound by the relationship between fellow humans, the surrounding nature and also Petara or God

    PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR TARI TANDAK SAMBAS MENGGUNAKAN METODE STAD DI SMP

    Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan hasil belajar pada      materi tari Tandak Sambas menggunakan metode STAD pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Sebawi Kabupaten Sambas. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Hasil penelitian antara lain nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada saat siklus 1 dengan nilai rata-rata 67,5, setelah dilakukan tindakan kedua pada saat siklus II, peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yaitu: 81.84. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode STAD yaitu merupakan salah satu sistem pembelajaran yang didalamnya siswa dibentuk kedalam kelompok belajar yang terdiri empat atau lima anggota. Kegiatan belajar dalam tim yaitu siswa mendemonstasikan tari Tandak Sambas, tiap komponen pekerjaan didiskusikan oleh anggota tim. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Sebawi Kabupaten Sambas. Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, Tari Tandak Sambas, Metode STAD.   The purpose of this study is to describe the results of stud yon dance material tandak Sambas using STAD methodin class VII SMP Negeri 2 Sebawi Sambas district. The method use din this resear chisdes criptivemethod, a form of researchis the Classroom Action Research (CAR), and the approach used isqualitati veresearch. The results ofthe study include the average valueof student learning out come sduring cycle 1withan average value of 67.5, after the second action during the second cycle, the increase inthe average value of student learning out comes are: 81.84. This study uses STAD which is one of the learning system in which students are formed into study group sconsisting of fouror five members. Learning activ itiesin which students mendemonstasikan dance team Tandak Sambas, each component of the work discussed by members ofthe team. The con clusi ons of this study is the use of STAD method can improve learning out comes seventh grade students of  SMP Negeri 2 Sebawi Sambas district.   Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Dance Tandak Sambas, STAD method.
