English is a language that needs to be mastered by the community because it is
recognized as an international language. Language skills include listening, reading,
writing and speaking. From these four skills, this research focuses on speaking skills.
This research was conducted with qualitative research methods so that what is discussed
is the quality of the research object. This research is intended to determine the speaking
ability of local guides and ticketing staff at Tebing Keraton Bandung. This study includes
three steps, namely observation, interviews and CEFR tests. Observations were made
with the aim of directly observing English language skills from data sources. Interviews
were conducted to determine the ability to understand and speak from local guides and
ticket staff. After the data is processed, the conclusion obtained by the researcher is that
the speaking skills of local guides and ticket staff are good enough. From the conclusions
that have been obtained, the researcher proposes the management of Tebing Keraton to
include the CEFR test in the training process as an evaluation material so that the ability
of employees can be measured concretely.
