    [Methodology of Muslim Priests in Preparing Hadith Text in its Validity] Metodologi Imam Muslim dalam Penyusunan Teks Hadith dalam Sahihnya

    This article aims to reveal the methodology of Sahih Muslim from the aspect of display of hadith text pioneered by Imam Muslim. The research and analysis done shows that he used several approaches while in the process of listing the hadith in his Sahih. Such approaches include aspects related to the narration of hadith al-Mu'al, al-Musahhaf and al-Muharraf, al-Maqlub, al-Abwab al-Hadithiyyah, repetition of hadith, Mushkil al-Hadith, al-Nasikh wa al-Mansukh and hadith al-Mudraj. This approach is a testament to his high level of mastery in the ins and outs of the narrated hadiths besides also showing his meticulous and meticulous nature during the process of collecting, filtering and listing the hadiths. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menzahirkan metodologi Sahih Muslim dari aspek paparan teks hadith yang dirintis oleh Imam Muslim. Penelitian dan analisis yang dilakukan menunjukkan beliau menggunakan beberapa pendekatan ketika dalam proses menyenaraikan hadith dalam Sahihnya. Pendekatan tersebut merangkumi aspek yang berkaitan dengan periwayatan hadith al-Mu‘al, al-Musahhaf dan al-Muharraf, al-Maqlub, al-Abwab al-Hadithiyyah, pengulangan hadith, Mushkil al-Hadith, al-Nasikh wa al-Mansukh dan hadith al-Mudraj. Pendekatan ini merupakan satu bukti kepada tahap penguasaaan beliau yang begitu tinggi dalam selok belok hadith-hadith yang diriwayatkan selain turut menunjukkan sifat cermat dan teliti beliau semasa proses pengumpulan, penyaringan dan penyenaraian hadith-hadith   Kata Kunci: Sahih Muslim, metodologi, teks hadith, Imam Muslim

    Hajj pilgrimage practice was conducted every year by millions of Muslims from around the world. But most of those who perform the pilgrimage forget to pay attention to the maqasid (objectives) main worship. They ask themselves more in-depth and focused on the aspect of fiqh rulings related to the Hajj pilgrimage and the requirements in terms of goals or maqasid pilgrims and their arguments are ignored. Worship is highlighted as one of the responsibilities and rights of God's servants need to be fulfilled, while the spirit and Maqasid was not directly touched. Therefore pilgrimage that does not help to contribute to a positive impact on the reform of individuals who carry it out and also to the public. The objective of this study was to identify maqasid in Hajj pilgrimage despite the practice based on the observations of Al-Qur'an and hadith texts and analyze the practice of Malaysian pilgrims. Surveys involving 379 respondents was conducted during the Hajj 1433H / 2012M, to answer the research objectives. Writing this article to multiply treasure maqasid pilgrims from the Quran and Al-Sunnah and see how far the practice of Malaysian pilgrims meet the maqasid.   Key words: Maqasid: Hajj: Perspective:Al-Qur`an: Al-Sunnah: Pilgrims:Malaysia

    [Al-Tabari's Character in The Knowledge of Qiraat and His View of Al-Ahruf Al-Sab’ah] Ketokohan Al-Tabari dalam Ilmu Qiraat dan Pandangan Beliau Terhadap Al-Ahruf Al-Sab’ah

    Imam al-Tabari's expertise in the science of qiraat can be seen in some of his views on the issues of qiraat and his style of debate on the error of qiraat in his interpretation of Jami 'al-Bayan' an Ta'wil Ay al-Qur'an. The debate of qiraat scholars on al-ahruf al-Sab'ah has been done by several scholars through the books of Ulum al-Quran and Ilmu Qiraat. However, when listing the opinions of these figures, al-Tabari's views were not discussed in depth while he had great character as al-Qurra 'as well as being famous as an al-Mufassir. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the relationship between Imam al-Tabari and the science of qiraat and the science of tafsir al-Qur’an. It also aims to study al-Tabari's expertise in the science of qiraat as well as analyze his views on the main issue in the science of qiraat which the meaning of al-Ahruf is al-Sab'ah. This information is collected and analyzed by discussing al-Tabari's views in this qiraat knowledge debate, then making a conclusion and conclusion on his views. All data were analyzed using inductive and deductive methods. The results of the study show that al-Tabari's expertise in the science of qiraat cannot be denied by anyone. However, his view in the chapter of al-Ahruf al-Sab'ah is seen to contradict the view of the majority of scholars by saying that the reading error among the qurra 'does not exclude the writing of Mushaf ‘Uthmani based on only one letter from al-Ahruf al-Sab'ah. While the remaining six letters have been dropped and it is not obligatory to do good deeds with it based on the ijma ’of the companions on the writing of the ‘Uthmani mushaf. Kepakaran Imam al-Tabari dalam ilmu qiraat dapat dilihat pada beberapa pandangan beliau terhadap isu-isu qiraat dan gaya perbahasan beliau terhadap khilaf qiraat dalam tafsirnya Jami’ al-Bayan ‘an Ta’wil Ay al-Qur’an. Perbahasan ulama qiraat tentang al-ahruf al-Sab’ah telah dilakukan oleh beberapa pengkaji melalui kitab-kitab Ulum al-Quran dan Ilmu Qiraat. Namun ketika menyenaraikan pendapat-pendapat tokoh-tokoh tersebut pandangan al-Tabari tidak dibahaskan secara mendalam sedangkan beliau mempunyai ketokohan yang hebat sebagai al-Qurra’ disamping masyhur sebagai seorang al-Mufassir. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki perkaitan di antara Imam al-Tabari dengan ilmu qiraat dan ilmu tafsir al-Qur’an. Ia juga bertujuan mengkaji kepakaran al-Tabari dalam ilmu qiraat serta menganalisis pandangan beliau terhadap isu pokok dalam ilmu qiraat iaitu maksud al-Ahruf al-Sab’ah. Maklumat  ini dikumpul dan dianalisis dengan membahaskan pandangan al-Tabari dalam perbahasan ilmu qiraat ini, seterusnya membuat satu rumusan dan kesimpulan terhadap pandangan beliau. Kesemua data dianalisis menggunakan metode induktif dan deduktif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa kepakaran al-Tabari dalm ilmu qiraat tidak dapat dinafikan oleh sesiapa. Namun pandangan beliau dalam bab al-Ahruf al-Sab’ah dilihat menyalahi pandangan majoriti ulama dengan mengatakan bahawa khilaf bacaan di kalangan qurra’ tidak terkeluar dari penulisan Mushaf ‘Uthmani berdasarkan satu huruf sahaja daripada al-Ahruf al-Sab’ah. Manakala baki enam huruf lagi telah digugurkan dan tidak diwajibkan beramal dengannya berdasarkan ijma’para sahabat terhadap penulisan mushaf ‘Uthmani.   &nbsp

    Al-Asha‘irah: Faktor Perkembangan dan Metodologi Argumentasinya [Al-Asha'irah: Developmental Factors and Methodology of Argument]

    This paper aims to trace the history of how al-Asha‘irah emerged, factors that contributed to its development, prominent figures in this stream, and the stream’s method of proving with dalil (reasoning based on analogy). This stream was founded by ‘Ali Ibn Isma‘il Ibn Ishaq Ibn Salim Ibn Isma‘il Ibn ‘Abd Allah Ibn Musa Ibn Bilal Ibn Abi Burdah Ibn Abi Musa al-Ash‘ari. The stream employed two methods of proving with dalil. They referred to naqli dalil, which refers to the Quran and hadith, and they employed sensible dalil to strenghten the reasoning obtained from the Quran and hadith.   Keywords: Al- Asha‘irah, methodology, school of thought.   Artikel ini bertujuan melakukan sorotan tentang sejarah kemunculan aliran al-Asha‘irah, faktor-faktor yang menyumbang kepada perkembangannya, tokoh-tokoh aliran ini serta metodologi pendalilannya. Aliran ini diasaskan oleh ‘Ali Ibn Isma‘il Ibn Ishaq Ibn Salim Ibn Isma‘il Ibn ‘Abd Allah Ibn Musa Ibn Bilal Ibn Abi Burdah Ibn Abi Musa al-Ash‘ari. Aliran ini menggunakan dua metodologi pendalilan iaitu dalil naqli dengan merujuk kepada al-Qur’an dan hadith, dan penggunaan dalil akal bagi memperkuatkan pendalilan yang diambil dari al-Qur’an dan hadit.   Kata kunci: Al- Asha‘irah, metodologi, aliran pemikiran, argumentas
