Epitheliomas of the middle ear and the external auditory canal. A radio-tomographic and clinical study

    No full text
A study, mainly radiological, was made of 10 cases of epithelioma of the middle and external ear observed during a period of 10 years and encountered among 4000 tomograms of the temporal bone. Despite the absence of specific changes in the radiological appearances, a series of factors (space occupying opacities of the middle ear, destructive lesions, no evidence of reactive bone condensation) are described that in combination suggest the neoplastic nature of the lesions.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

L'IRRADIATION DU PATIENT LORS DE LA TOMOGRAPHIE DU ROCHER

    No full text
The doses of radiation absorbed by the crystalline lens during tomography of the petrosal bone were measured for AP exposures, and for lateral, Guillen, and Stenvers exposures. The maximum dose was about 10,000 mrem for 13 exposures. The use of lead shields does not hinder the radiodiagnosis and considerably reduces the radiation. The distribution of the doses absorbed by the diploe, the petrosal bone, the sternum, and the thyroid was studied on a dummy for the 4 exposures.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
