Enteral nutrition is popular in intensive care. Keeping the intestine in function by feeding stimulation helps to treat intensive care patients. We aimed to find a visible metabolic and hormonal differences between parenteral and enteral nutrition. 20 cardiopulmonary stable patients were monitored . The patients, who were fed more then two weeks parenteraly without enteral feeding due to their disease, where studied after obtaining informed consent. The parenteral nutrition was fortified by 4200 kJ parenteraly in days 0 - 2 and next in the same contents. Comparisons between parenteral fortified period and parenteral plus enterals period were made in several serologic and urine parameters. Wilcoxons pair t-test was used for statistical analysis.Summary in EnglishAvailable from STL, Prague, CZ / NTK - National Technical LibrarySIGLECZCzech Republi
