This paper presented a view interpolation method for reconstructing intermediate all-in-focus images between defocused stereo images of a scene consisting of two depths. In the presented method, the novel view can be reconstructed as a sum of the filtered stereo images. The reconstruction filter was derived as a stable and linear space-invariant one; thus the presented method does not require region segmentation. The presented method can also reconstruct dense light field from multi-view images with different foci, so that free viewpoint images can be generated with better quality.APSIPA ASC 2009: Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association, 2009 Annual Summit and Conference. 4-7 October 2009.
