    Background: Implementation of the family planning (FP) program is affected by the people view on reproductive health and family planning services. A lot of clients who complain about the lack of explanation/information from the clinic staff led to a lack of knowledge of the client in choosing the type of FP. Methods: This is an observational research, assest reproduction right on "right to get information and counseling" relevan to the laws and regulation. We analyzed qualitative data collecting from interviews with FP users, FP worker, and husband's FGD. Observation of FP services and counseling in 2 primary health centers in Malang Municipality, East Java Province and Sampit District, Center of Kalimantan, 2011. Results: Many clients obtained FP services that are less qualified, lack of counseling and provision of information so the clients less knowledge to choose the contraseptive device. Clients tolerate it so that clients remain satisfied to the unqualified FP services. Conclusions: Knowledge and understanding of reproductive rights in particular FP is less because of the lack of acquisition of information and counseling and encourage them to tolerate family planning services. Recommendation: Improved family planning information for better competency of health workers (midwives) through counseling technical training; improve the client's ability to select the type of contraception; Increased public awareness about the rights and responsibilities and setting the number of rights and obligations in family planning services by socializing the laws and regulations more detail and wide information through variety of media
