The Structure and Measurement of Career Indecision: A Critical Review
This article provides a comprehensive review of the theoretical and empirical progress of indecision structural models and assessment from 2000 to 2017. Because career indecision remains a central topic for career counseling, it is important for the field to achieve an updated understanding of its models and measurement. Based on the development of theory-driven and data-driven indecision models and measures, the review generally found that the Career Decision Difficulties Questionnaire, the Emotional and Personality Career Difficulties Scale, and the Career Indecision Profile could reliably and validly measure various factors of career indecision. It was also found that an integrative five-factor model of indecision (i.e., neuroticism/negative affectivity, choice/commitment anxiety, need for information, lack of readiness, and interpersonal conflicts) shows the potential to adequately represent the comprehensive factor structure of career indecision. Implications and recommendations for practice and research are discussed in a global context
Spin observables in the reaction
The T matrix of the LambdaN-> NN reaction, which is a strangeness changing
weak process, is derived. The explicit formulas of the spin observables are
given for s-wave p-Lambda final states which kinematically corresponds to
inverse reaction of the weak nonmesonic decay of Lambda hypernuclei. One can
study interferences between amplitudes of parity- conserving and violating,
spin- singlet and triplet and isospin- singlet and triplet. Most of them are
not available in the study of the nonmesonic decay. They clarify structure of
the reaction and constrain strongly theoretical models for weak hyperon nucleon
interaction.Comment: 7pages,ReVTeX,no figure
Exclusive Measurement of the Nonmesonic Weak Decay of ^{5}_{\Lambda}He Hypernucleus
We performed a coincidence measurement of two nucleons emitted from the
nonmesonic weak decay (NMWD) of ^{5}_{\Lambda}He formed via the
^{6}Li(\pi^+,K^+) reaction. The energies of two nucleons and the pair number
distributions in the opening angle between them were measured. In both np and
nn pairs, we observed a clean back-to-back correlation coming from the two-body
decay of \Lambda p --> n p and \Lambda n --> n n, respectively. The ratio of
the nucleon pair numbers was N_{nn}/N_{np}=0.45 \pm 0.11(stat)\pm 0.03(syst) in
the kinematic region of cos(theta_{NN}) < -0.8. Since each decay mode was
exclusively detected, the measured ratio should be close to the ratio of
\Gamma(\Lambda p --> np)/\Gamma(\Lambda n --> nn).
The ratio is consistent with recent theoretical calculations based on the
heavy meson/direct quark exchange picture.Comment: Submitted to Phys. Rev. lett., 4 pages, 3 figure
correlations from the stopped reaction on He
We have investigated correlations of coincident pairs from the
stopped reaction on He, and clearly observed and
branches of the two-nucleon absorption process in the
invariant mass spectra. In addition, non-mesonic reaction channels, which
indicate possible exotic signals for the formation of strange multibaryon
states, have been identified.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Physical Review Letter
