A fuzzy expert system for small business loan processing
In recent years, managerial applications of artificial intelligence, especially in the area of financial services, has received considerable attention. In this paper, a fiizzy logic expert system is developed for approvals of small business loans. Previous studies have used non-fuzzv expert systems. But the fuzzification of the variables used in a business loan approval decisionmaking promises more efficient results. Furthermore, another distinct feature of this paper is its focus on small business loans. CubiCalc fuzzy expert system shell is used to develop the expert system. Knowledge acquisition is made using the resources and expertise of a Small Business Development Center. Tests to establish generalizability and validity of the results are conducted

A neural network driven fuzzy system approach to decision making
It is necessary to model and manage uncertainties efficiently and effectively in solving decision-making problems. Fuzzy reasoning and logic offers a natural means of handling uncertainty. This paper discus.\u27ses the development of an architecture that utilizes the advantages of fuzzy logic and neural networks that can be used in decision-making. The present paper outlines the reasons that motivate development of models that integrate fuzzy logic and neural networks. This discussion is followed by a brief overview of fuzzy logic and its concepts that are essential in understanding the application presented in the paper. The paper then describes the classification procedure used by the model, which is followed by its application to the decision making problem in construction modularization
Yield of different bronchoscopic techniques in diagnosis of lung cancer
Background:聽Lung cancer is generally diagnosed during late stage of the disease so early diagnosis of lung cancer is very important to reduce lung cancer death rate. Flexible fibreoptic bronchoscopy revolutionized early diagnosis of lung cancer as it provides sufficient cytologic and histologic specimens in form of bronchial brushings, broncho-alveolar lavage and bronchial forceps biopsy. Cytologic techniques are safe, economical, and provide quick results. They not only complement tissue biopsies in the diagnosis of lung cancer but are also comparable in yield. Methods:聽The present study analyzes cytology of Bronchoalveolar lavage, Bronchial Brushings and histology of bronchial biopsy in 45 patients diagnosed as lung cancer by fiber-optic bronchoscopy. Age, gender, smoking habits, various histological types of malignancies, and yield of various bronchoscopic diagnostic techniques in the diagnosis of lung cancer were evaluated. Results:聽Of the 45 cases with confirmed diagnosis, 37 (82.22%) were males and 8 (17.17%) were females with male to female ratio of 4.6:1. The mean age in this study group was 54.71 years. Squamous cell carcinoma was the most common primary bronchogenic tumor (62.22%) followed by adeno carcinoma (26.66%). The overall diagnostic yield of fiber-optic bronchoscopy procedures was 100% (32/32 patients) in bronchoscopically visible tumors. Bronchial biopsy was most sensitive (100%) followed by Bronchial Brushings (88%) and BAL (81.25%). However, in non-visible tumors, biopsy, brush and BAL yielded diagnostic specimens for lung cancer in 84.61%, 76.92% and 46.15% of patients respectively. Conclusions:聽Lung cancer is a common malignancy with male preponderance. Bronchial biopsy has a very high diagnostic yield. Cytopathological examination of bronchial brushings and broncho-alveolar lavage not only complement tissue biopsies in the diagnosis of lung cancer but have comparable diagnostic yield
Brokerage Of Human Expertise: An Overview Of The Expert Websites On The Internet
Expert web sites, an online resource, provide a useful connection between knowledge seekers (i.e., the consumers of knowledge) and knowledge providers (i.e., experts).聽聽 Since 1998 there has been a proliferation of expert web sites.聽 As the phenomenon of expert web sites is still relatively new, there is very little research on the effectiveness of these services.聽 Thus it is difficult for consumers of this type of service to make informed choices.聽 This paper is an attempt to provide a general overview of the effectiveness of expert web sites.聽 We have presented a brief synthesis of the features of the most popular expert web sites along with a conceptual framework that clearly identifies the issues that must be examined in evaluating the effectiveness of the sites.聽 The framework is meant to generate some empirical research regarding the new phenomenon and the results of this empirical research could then assist consumers in making informed decisions regarding their choice of expert web sites to suit their needs

Modeling and analysis of performance of computer networks is essential for ensuring smooth operation of an organization\u27s networks and preventing major failures. Mathematical analysis and simulation modeling are the common procedures for network system performance analysis. In this paper, a knowledge-based simulation model is developed that can be used for predicting network performance and reliability
Study of rifampicin resistance among newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus: a prospective observational study
Background: Rifampicin (RIF) resistance in new cases of pulmonary tuberculosis is a matter of concern. Diabetes Mellitus triples the risk of developing tuberculosis. Early detection of TB and its resistance status in diabetics can help in improving the care and treatment outcomes of both diseases. Methods: It was a prospective study conducted from February 2019 to March 2020 in PGIMS, Rohtak on 50 patients of DM with newly diagnosed Pulmonary TB. Rifampicin resistance was detected by CBNAAT on sputum, induced sputum and BAL samples.聽Results: Mean age of study subjects was 51.24卤10.421 (in years) with M: F ratio of 3:1 and maximum patients in 50-59 age group. The average BMI in patients was 22.49卤2.42 kg/m2. The most common presenting complaint was cough (92%) followed by fever (68%). Mean serum HBA1c was 9.66卤2.24 and mean FBS and PPBS was 195.81卤59.08 and 302.02卤99.01 mg/dl respectively. Out of 36 cases who gave sputum, 29 (80.55%) were detected rifampicin sensitive and 7 (19.44%) were rifampicin resistant whereas out of 11 who were induced, 9 (81.8%) were rifampicin sensitive and 2(18.18%) were rifampicin resistant. Out of 3 cases detected by BAL CBNAAT, 2 (66.6%) were rifampicin sensitive and 1 (33.33%) was rifampicin resistant. Overall, 10(20%) patients were detected Rifampicin resistant by CBNAAT.Conclusions: We found that TB-DM patients had a higher proportion of drug resistance (20%), so DM should be considered as an independent risk factor for MDR-TB and effective measures are required for early diagnosis of MDR-TB
Intelligent Mobile Edge Computing Integrated with Blockchain Security Analysis for Millimetre-Wave Communication
With the increase in number of devices enabled the Internet of Things (IoT) communication with the centralized cloud computing model. With the implementation of the cloud computing model leads to increased Quality of Service (QoS). The cloud computing model provides the edge computing technologies for the real-time application to achieve reliability and security. Edge computing is considered the extension of the cloud computing technology involved in transfer of the sensitive information in the cloud edge to increase the network security. The real-time data transmission realizes the interaction with the high frequency to derive improved network security. However, with edge computing server security is considered as sensitive privacy information maintenance. The information generated from the IoT devices are separated based on stored edge servers based on the service location. Edge computing data is separated based in edge servers for the guaranteed data integrity for the data loss and storage. Blockchain technologies are subjected to different security problem for the data integrity through integrated blockchain technologies. This paper developed a Voted Blockchain Elliptical Curve Cryptography (VBECC) model for the millimetre wave application. The examination of the blockchain model is evaluated based on the edge computing architecture. The VBECC model develop an architectural model based Blockchain technology with the voting scheme for the millimetre application. The estimated voting scheme computes the edge computing technologies for the estimation of features through ECC model. The VBECC model computes the security model for the data transmission in the edge computing-based millimetre application. The experimental analysis stated that VBECC model uses the data security model ~8% increased performance than the conventional technique
