Fermi-LAT and NuSTAR as Stellar Axionscopes
We overview the potential of airborne X-ray and gamma-ray telescopes to probe
the axion-like particles parameter space.Comment: Contributed to the 13th Patras Workshop on Axions, WIMPs and WISPs,

Stellar Evolution Bounds on the ALP-Photon Coupling: new Results and Perspectives
Stellar evolution considerations are of fundamental importance in our
understanding of the axion/ALP-photon coupling, g_{a\gamma}. Helium burning
stars are the best laboratories to study this coupling. Here, we will review
the bounds from massive and low mass helium burning stars, and present a new
analysis of the bound from the horizontal branch stars. The analysis provides
the strongest bound to date on g_{a\gamma} in a wide mass range.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figure. Contributed to the 10th Patras Workshop on Axions,

Ruolo dell'attivita' fisica nell'obesita' correlata a comportamenti alimentari disfunzionali
Axion-electron coupling from the RGB tip of Globular Clusters
We present a preliminary study of the Globular Cluster RGB devoted to improve
the available constraint for the axion-electron coupling. By means of
multi-band IR photometry of the cluster M3 we obtain g_{ae}/10^{-13} < 2.57
(95\% C.L.).Comment: paper submitted to Proceedings of the 13th Patras Workshop on Axions,

Impact of Axions on the Minimum Mass of Core Collapse Supernova Progenitors
In this study we include axions in stellar evolution models adopting the
current stringest constraints for their coupling to photons and electrons. We
obtain that the minimum stellar mass of Core Collapse Supernova (CCSN)
progenitors is shifted up by nearly 2 Mo. This result seems to be in tension
with the observationaly derived minimum mass of CCSN progenitors.Comment: Contributed to the 13th Patras Workshop on Axions, WIMPs and WISPs,

Stellar Recipes for Axion Hunters
There are a number of observational hints from astrophysics which point to
the existence of stellar energy losses beyond the ones accounted for by
neutrino emission. These excessive energy losses may be explained by the
existence of a new sub-keV mass pseudoscalar Nambu--Goldstone boson with tiny
couplings to photons, electrons, and nucleons. An attractive possibility is to
identify this particle with the axion -- the hypothetical pseudo
Nambu--Goldstone boson predicted by the Peccei--Quinn solution to the strong CP
problem. We explore this possibility in terms of a DFSZ-type axion and of a
KSVZ-type axion/majoron, respectively. Both models allow a good global fit to
the data, prefering an axion mass around 10 meV. We show that future axion
experiments -- the fifth force experiment ARIADNE and the helioscope IAXO --
can attack the preferred mass range from the lower and higher end,
respectively. An axion in this mass range can also be the main constituent of
dark matter.Comment: 32 pages, 5 figure
