Diprosopus, craniorachischisis, arthrogryposis, and other associated anomalies in a stillborn lamb

Congenital malformations with multiple anomalies have been described infrequently in the veterinary literature. A stillborn male crossbred lamb with diprosopus, craniorachischisis, and arthrogryposis was examined macroscopically and histopathologically in this study. The left head was smaller than the right head. Micrencephaly, agnathia, and a rudimentary tongue, which was adherent to the palate, were present in the left head. Micrencephaly, brachygnathia superior, and cleft palate were present in the right head. Cerebellar agenesis and spinal cord hypoplasia were observed. The cerebrums and the spinal cord were covered with a tapering membranous structure. Neural and dermal tissues were noted to intervene upon microscopic examination of this structure. Disorganization of neurons was observed in both cerebrums, though it was more severe in the left one. This case demonstrates many congenital defects occurring together in a lamb

MEME TÜMÖRÜ ŞEKİLLENMİŞ KÖPEKLERDE KAN ÖSTROJEN PROGESTERON ORANI İLE MEME KAYNAKLI ÖSTROJEN PROGESTERON RESEPTÖR ARASI İLİŞKİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Bu çalışmada memetümörü tespit edilen köpeklerde operasyon öncesi serum östrojen ve progesteronseviyeleri ölçülmüştür. Daha sonra alınan meme tümörleri histopatolojik vehistokimyasal olarak incelenmiş ve östrojen reseptörleri (ER) ve progesteron reseptörlerivarlığı araştırılmıştır; serum östrojen-progesteron düzeyi ile ER ve PR varlığıarasındaki korelasyon ortaya konulmuştur.&nbsp;&nbsp;Bu amaçla Kayseri ilinde bulunan serbest veteriner kliniklerinegetirilen köpeklerden meme tümörü vakalarında önce kan numunesi alınmıştır.Kuru tüplere alınan kan numuneleri 5000 d/d santrifüj edilerek elde edilenserumlardan otoanalizörde östrojen ve progesteron düzeyleri ölçülmüştür.Ameliyat edilen köpeklerden alınan meme kitleleri %10’luk formaldehit solüsyonuiçerisinde Erciyes Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Patoloji laboratuvarınasevk edilerek histopatolojik muayenesi yaptırılmıştır. Sonuçlar ile özelliklebazı meme tümörü tiplerinin erken tespiti mümkün olacak ve erken uygulanacakoperasyonlar ile metastazların önlenmesi ve yaşam süresinin uzatılmasısağlanacaktır.</p

MEME TÜMÖRÜ ŞEKİLLENMİŞ KÖPEKLERDE KAN ÖSTROJEN PROGESTERON ORANI İLE MEME KAYNAKLI ÖSTROJEN PROGESTERON RESEPTÖR ARASI İLİŞKİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Çalışmanın amacı, meme tümörü tiplerinin erken tespiti amacıyla tümörleri histopatolojik ve histokimyasalolarak incelenecek ve östrojen reseptörleri (ER) ve progesteron reseptörleri (PR) ve serum östrojenprogesteron seviyesi arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmektir. Bu amaçla Kayseri ERU Veteriner hastanesi veözel kliniklerine gelen meme tümörü şekillenmiş 21 adet farklı yaşlarda köpek kullanılmıştır. Meme tümörüşekillenmiş vakalarında önce kan numunesi alınmış, sonrasın opersayonla meme tümörleri alınarakhistopatolojik ve histokimyasal olarak incelenmiş ve östrojen reseptörleri (ER) ve progesteron reseptörlerivarlığı araştırılmıştır. Bununla birlikte serum östrojen-progesteron düzeyi ile ER ve PR varlığı arasındakikorelasyon ortaya konulmuştur. Sonuçlar ile özellikle bazı meme tümörü tiplerinin erken tespiti mümkünolacak ve erken uygulanacak operasyonlar ile metastazların önlenmesi ve yaşam süresinin uzatılmasısağlanacaktır.</p
